I finally got it to run, thanks to vimmers and windows defender, which finally came up so I could allow it. But the the screen is black after the initial fly by. How do I get to set up? I forgot.

Press Ctrl when you start the game and the setup comes up. Select Soft Fullscreen on the bottom, that should fix the problem.

Has anyone had trouble going from the sewers to the canals? I have the first set of doors raised, but the water levels are still different.

EDIT: Just kidding. I reloaded and it went away.

I am wondering about something else though. Is there anyway to skip the opening videos and go straight to the main menu? I press escape twice but then it starts a brand new game every time.

Me again--okay, so the doors for the final timed run won't open. When I push the button to open them, I get no cut scene. The bell starts chiming once I boating toward it, but I never get a cut scene of the open doors and they're closed every time I get there. Bug? I've also tried loading some previous save games and getting there again and the same thing happens.

I don't remember if there's a camera hint to the doors opening, but the timing is very tight: you also need to use the Sprint key to get there in time.

I've watched a YouTuber make the run. I'm definitely moving faster than he did, and the doors are closed already when I turn the corner. I'm still thinking they're just not opening at all. Do you have a savegame? I have no idea why that would make a difference, but it might.

Did you maybe save/reload during the run? Not sure but sometimes that will close the timed door
Did you get rid of the mines? Maybe that has something to do with it?

I think I read somewhere that the switch only works the first time it's activated. Do you have a previous savegame you could resort to? I don't have any of my own anymore, sorry.

Bah! - That has to be it. This is definitely the second time I'm pushing the button. I pushed it the first time a long time ago when I was exploring and didn't know what it did. I for sure don't have a save game that far back. Does anyone? (In the walkthrough, there's a place where there should be a link to a save game, but the link doesn't work )

and i can tell that i am not even close to the doors
when they close
also the bells still ringing after the doors are closed
so please upload when you have done the timed race

This save is before the timed boat. Anyone have a save after the timed boat?
