I have played this game many times since it's an easy game to relax and I always do the climb the tower-push the button-run to the kitchen door sequence before I pull the underwater lever to open the refrigerator door. Once you beat the timed run to the kitchen door it will open when you leave and stay opened so you can pull the underwater lever without worrying about doing the timed run sequence again.
anyway the wind blows...

I will re-download the game and try again. I may need a save game where she is in the kitchen if someone would be so kind. :D

Here it is
It's the first time I upload a savegame, so tell me if I uploaded the right one.
Anyway have you tried the sprint/dash control in the timed run? I believe you must press the [/] key while running.

I downloaded the game on another PC. Same results, the door is never open. I hate being a failure even after I have done everything correctly. :bigcry: What have I done wrong? There is only the one door at the end of the walkway to the left. The door I timed. It shuts in about 7 seconds. I reach the end of the walkway in 4 seconds, look left and the door is closed. I don't get it??????

Luisa--I had trouble when I tried for the first time, but I figured it out. The download you sent me is labeled for part 3 "into the depths". Download it yourself and look at it. You must be in the correct game. Count down the entries in your saved games. the top one is "0" down to the one you want to send me 1,2,3,etc. Mugs and Vimmers got me on my way. Good luck :D

Well now I have her in the kitchen in two PC's. But the save game is not in any of my game slots? Weird?

are you using trle manager ? then hurry get it out of your pcs
cos none of the games on trle need that crappy cheating software
just download and unzip or unrar or whatever you use the unzip
i now testing the game
and the door opens fine
but you need to wait a split second to see it open
first then you can do the timed run

Thanks Vimmers-I use RAR to unzip it. You say I must wait a split second to see the door open. Do you mean after pushing the button? I never saw the door open. Pushing the button is supposed to open the door. Isn't it?

pushing the button shows the door opening, but no matter how fast I get Lara to the door, it is always closed. I have done many, many more difficult runs and I have always succeeded.
