New update available V1.2.2.2 from Paolone's site includes the working Kayak among other things

A well turned bottom is a beautiful thing to behold.
A well spanked bottom is a beautiful thing to be holding.

I think there must be a border for all the upgrades... somewhere
By the way, where is the demo project for kayak? Because it isn't on Paolone's site (although, there is a line about it).

Re: TRNG- MK2- Requests, bugs and discussion
The paddling on land isn´t a bug, because it´s the way it shoild be, so that Lara can paddle over rapids, which are "dry land". So you have to build walls to prevent Lara from paddling on land. Essgee fixed the sound issue. Paolone did a little mistake with the naming of the sounds. This is right: TR3 Sound 15-0. A The 0 behind the text part has to be deleted in all sample names. Or use this zip by Essgee: http://www.skribblerz.net/forums/index. ... ch_id=7023bedazzled wrote:The kayak is buggy the sounds don't work and it can be paddled onto and accross dry land

Re: TRNG- MK2- Requests, bugs and discussion
hej,
This may be known or even corrected already, I have no knowledge about what game uses how old TRNG executables.
Lately - maybe 1/2 a year? - I sometimes (?) encounter strangest, and I'd say unacceptable, behaviour from TRNG levels.
Some levels set crucial settings without ever asking me.
And these ****ed up settings are somehow, somewhere, kept - beyond playing that level
,even for old levels that have nothing to do with TRNG whatsoever.
so, the last TRNG game I tried was nusrat's Catweazel's Lair*, but had to learn I can't play it, so I quit.
(Too lame a PC on my end. Well, maybe it would not have been too lame, had the game not added ~17 extra % of pixels, plus the "AR interpolation" to additionally calculate.)
Then I went to play an old custom level, and I had been wondering why I get the display-changing knick-knack sound when starting the game, as last time I had called the setup, I had - as always - set it to the 1280x960 resolution, 16bit I always use with this monitor, game or desktop displayed. I never call the setup unless I have to switch VolFX.
But I wanted to play, and not to delve into whats-going-on-here.
And now, looking through the screenshots - taken by pressing the tomb4.exe-native screenshot button - ,it looks like I played in 1600x900, at unknown bit-depth (this monitor should not be able to run 1600x900 at more than 16bit, I think) and also unknown screen refresh rate.
I am on an old 4:3 CRT monitor, I have never set any trle game to run in widescreen.
Yet I get "Abundant Lara" in screenshots (1/2ed for displaying here):
In game I did not notice this directly, as graphics driver/ display combo stretched that perfectly to fill the full 4:3 screen.
Imo. a game may NOT change screen resolution to some odd, and high!, value by itself without asking, (also not raise bit depth or vsync!).
These could have killed some old CRTs. Also a game should not mess with aspect ratio, at least not without asking permission.
And a game may absolutely NOT change any setting permanently.
------------------
*Catweazel's Lair - All the other trlevel.de castle contest levels (executables) I had started had strange effects and also after-effects, but it is too long ago to remember exactly.
--------------------
All of this is happening in Win XPpro, account with full admin rights, old nVidia card ("newest" driver nVidia driverpackage will allow to install), directX 8.1.
All levels played directly from unzipped download or from an "individual" copy of standard TRLE folder with files copied in there.
No level manager, trplaycentre, levelplayer.
No playing old levels with TRNG executable.

Thou shall not mess with Lara's resting animation. NEVER. EVER!

Sounds strange. I´ll bring this to Paolones attention. The response may take a while.

V1.222 resulted in a major problem using water rooms for me. I reverted to the previous version and the water is now working normally. I understand there is a possible bug if you are using mirrors, but I was not.
