Ok - not sure that I have actually fixed it but I just went into the database and deleted 11000 rather useless session id records. This will force you to freshly login when you visit the forum, but hopefully speeds it up again... it is certainly fast right now at my end.... will keep watching....

There seems to be a problem with the Curse of the Empti Wad thread. I posted after Andre and then Jack posted after me but mine and Jack's don't show. There's a message saying 'no topics posted for this thread' or whatever - can't remember exact wording.

The disappearing posts have been happening all week. I noticed them in the guess the screenie thread, but thought folk were just deleting double posts.

The forum is still very slow for me too :?

It's not funny any more, it is very hard and time consuming to follow the stuck thread... :annoyed:

I've been getting internal server error messages when trying to access the site most of this morning. :(

same here. it took many attempts to access the forum. whatever is happening seems to only affect the forum. we seem to have some real problems. I hope we can resolve them quickly.

I see what you mean, Michael posted that he was updating the server but his post seems to have disappeared from this thread :dunno:

Anyway, loving the new look - more smilies on the compose message side too!

Don't like I can't quote before logging in though - I didn't always log on when accessing the site but sometimes would post/quote someone and would be prompted to log in then which was fine, now I may find a post and have to log in then go back to the thread to reply/post - ah well, still looks pretty :2thumbsup:
