how to play very old trle levels?

Post by Manymee » 17 Jun 2016 17:42

I am thinking of downloading levels from 2004 and earlier. But I remember that back then we needed to have the Level Editor installed (I don't have this anymore) and somehow add the level files to the Editor in order to play it. More recent games all have their own .exe, but have all the old levels been updated too? I would appreciate some info before I start downloading the level I'm interested in, as it is rather large. Thanks! :)

Wow, that's great news. I may just download a few old games one of these days...

My memory is far from reliable these days, but I think that a number of years ago, one of our members almost single-handedly did the enormous amount of work necessary to convert these older levels to playable downloads. If that member was not Scottie, someone please correct me.

From my experiences various older levels technically work but have a crashes and other issues that make them near-unplayable. It seems others don't get those issues though so maybe you'll be lucky.
