Why don't show pictures from the Pix folder in the game?

Post by agentpat » 01 Dec 2017 17:30

In any mods of Tomb Raider in which any Pix folder does not show any saved games or any photo in game. Instead of save games, I can see only black screen, the saved ones too. I know I can delete the folder itself and then everything will be fine, but the gameplay will suffer from it. What can I do to see everything from this folder in the game?

when lunching tomb4.exe, press CTRL (for graphics setup) before the game actually loads, and try enabling one of the emergency settings in the setup window that pops up :)

Perhaps it is handy if you could tell what system you use.
I play still on an old XP and I have to rename the PIX folder or else the game crashes at my end.
Oops, I did it again... Image

Try playing in a different resolution it worked for me,

I have not tried it yet, but what's the point of screwing up graphically the game with a lower resolution for some pictures. I'm already starting to think if the reason for this is not that I'm using NVIDIA's video card? Is there anyone with an AMD video card with the same problem?

Changing rosolution not worked in new mods - such as Ancient Artifact II. This mod run only native resolution on my monitor (1920x1080).

It did not help at all, and logically, there was no way to help.

P.S. Problem resolved - I just deactivated the anti-aliasing from Nvidia control panel.

The picture @image1.bmp in LoreRaider's Frozen Mask is a corrupted picture and will not open in photoshop or native Microsoft Windows 7. It should open outside the game but does not. Some of the problems people are experiencing are probably due to the use of incompatible photos types in newer custom levels that are not backwards compatible among operating systems or are proprietary pic types that should not be used in custom levels.

Loreraider needs to provide a replacement file for @image1.bmp in Frozen Mask that will work on anyone's computer from WinXp to WIn10.

Shouldn't the programmer of the NGLE (or whatever it is called these days) have to know this as well so he can do something about it?
