Spoiler function

Post by Tom » 13 Jul 2009 15:42

I think it is a good idea if there is a spoiler function in this forum. And it can be easily added with bb-code in the admin-panel.

bb-code for spoiler: http://www.phpbb3bbcodes.com/viewtopic.php?t=183

How to add a custom bb-code in the admin-panel: http://www.phpbb.com/support/tutorials/3.0/

Here are more useful bb-codes:

There is if you use the "trle" style.

sorry for the delay Tom. spoilers have been used for a long time in the Stuck forum....people simply use the white font color to hide their spoiler. Is this what you are referring to ?

Tinka mentioned a mod spoiler and wrote this: "if a spoiler-mod exists, it would need to be uploaded and added. And this is something Michael would have do anyway."

Only seeing this now... Tom had already given the links above on how to implement it. It is not a mod that needs to be uploaded, but something you can directly configure in the ACP. I just followed the directions and put it in now...
This is the text in the spoiler... When you write a post you will actually see a 'spoiler2' tab (to the right of the font colour tab), which can be clicked to save you the trouble of typing in the tag.

Thank you, I wanted to help a little bit, because I think it is a good thing for such a forum. This is a simple bb-code, and it has no risk of security like a modification.
Thank you...
