object animating texture

Post by mugs » 30 May 2016 03:37

I want to use a street lamp object (see here: http://www.trsearch.org/Items/2037), but when I load the game up the textures Leeloo Bastet used for the lamp post are animating. I don't know what that's all about and I have tried to re-texture the post in Strpix, but it doesn't work - the texture still animates. Anyone know how I can stop the animation - I'd really like to use this one. Thanks for your advice.

Do you have any waterfall objects? The only thing coming to mind is how things get broken if the waterfall's textures are not the biggest textures in the WAD (which means they appear first in the texture list). Other than that I'm not sure... :anxious:

Thank you so much Jesse! That did the trick. I'm not understanding what happened there, but I never fail to learn something new about the level editor every time I use it! appreciate the help!

I also think you should occupy the planet_effect slot with a dummy object (with textures only used for that object), as that slot also works with scrolling textures and may also cause trouble.
