Enemy AI and flipmaps

Post by justin » 19 Oct 2014 14:46

I know people have come across problems with enemies and flipmaps in the past, but i just wanted to share my discovery in case this one has not been mentioned :)

Doing a runthrough of my 3rd level, i noticed 2 enemies acting real weird, knights templar. Not quite like a box limit issue, but they would just move back as nd forth without chasing lara. Deleted some rooms and found the problem was an active alternating flipmap. Simply had to turn off the alternating flpmap before reaching any enemies.

Hope this helps anyone experiencing ai issues!

I'm actually having the exact same problem ! I tried everything.

What does ¨alternating flipmaps˝ mean ?
( I have a fipped room in my level near the enemy thats acting weird )

I believe he means he had a flipmap that was set up to be constantly turning on, then off, then on again etc. in a cycle.
