Unexplained Crashes

Post by Alex Chap » 07 Jun 2014 14:17

New problem; since I build some levelsets, I had the right to many crashes that are caused apparently for the same reason.

Sometimes when I'm testing a level with tomb4 and I run the level, the loading bar stops about 3/4. Previously I managed to solve this bug, it was enough to remove rooms and reuse it. But now I'm trying to fix it, I can't do it, as if the project had a bug. :banghead:

I even have the right to other crashes :

The game goes black after "Exit to Title", it's therefore not a camera problem.
And in a leveljump the game crashes when the bar was able to be at 0.5 cm. It's therefore not a ResetHUB problem.

Everything worked before I added a few rooms. What is the problem ? :(

Problem sounds like it is in the few rooms that you last added.
But no-one can say what the problem is. You have to work backwards.
If you have other saves of your projects, work back until you have one where the problem does not exist.
Otherwise try deleting objects from the current project.
It could be an out of bounds object, a bad room connection, a bad object, a bad flipeffect trigger....the list goes on.
Sometimes you won't find the actual cause, and the only way is to rebuild from a project where there is no crash.

It's Tomb Raider Jim... but not as we know it.

Problem solved ! ^^

It was indeed a sound problem. The sfx files were distorted. In fact it's because I had a sound which lasted almost eight seconds, I cut to six seconds and everything works now. Thank you ! :2thumbsup:
