push block/raising block

Post by mugs » 07 Jun 2012 17:50

is it possible to push a push-block onto a raising-block and still maintain the push-block's climbability ? Right now I have the push-block with an ocb of 100 which allows Lara to stand on it and throw it into a pit. The pit holds the raising-block, but now Lara can no longer stand on the push-block (on top of the raising block). Thanks for any help.

No, this is technically not possible.

Can you not trigger a flipmap same time raising block is triggered so toggle opacity is on - you'd have raising block in room below and pushblock in room above with toggle opacity on the connecting door
The door would be just one block wide as you wouldn't want the entire room with an invisible floor!

thanks for that idea Dave - I'll give that some thought - I'm not real handy with flipmaps yet, but it may be worth the effort.

:2thumbsup:
I've used this trick myself once and it works well.

Or, instead of making part of the door toggle-opacity, you could try putting a collisiontrigger in the flipmap room, making it the same height as where the top of the pushable will be once it is raised.
That way you don't have to build the room in such a way that it has a door at that height. :D
I don't know how if this will work though. I've never tried it.
But it is easy enough to find out I'd say. :D
Nothing is in contradiction with nature,
only in contradiction with what we know of it.
