Triggering a sound after picking up an item.

Post by Colin_B » 06 Mar 2011 00:47

I am building a secret area in my level. When the player solves the puzzle, a door opens up to another room with an item on a low pedestal. I'd like to know how to play one of my custom made sounds as Lara takes the item off of the pedestal. The item has "4" in it's OCB. Directly underneath the square, I have a PICKUP trigger with CD and the track number entered but when Lara takes the item, no sound is heard. What am I doing wrong??

Does the track exist and is it in the right format?

Yeah, it works and sounds fine if I set it as a regular trigger. Perhaps I could use the rolling ball trick...

Wishes I had the same problem, sounds that do not always work with pickup (and CD). I used flipeffects on channel 2 to play sounds and obviously it works better!
Thank you for excusing the poverty of my English, sometimes I have me even the trouble to understand me... ! :dunno:

For a trigger pickup > 64 in ocb of the object + 4 for a low piedestal = 68 in ocb. >>>Tutorial
