distortion

Post by mugs » 10 Feb 2011 20:09

I thought I had fixed this by replacing the enemy, but it is back. It seems to be "triggered" when Lara is engaged in a gun battle. any ideas on what's causing it or how to fix it ? I'm having nightmares from this game.

Not sure what's causing it during a gun battle; but you get the same distortion if you use an enemy in the 'scorpion' slot that hasn't been converted properly.

Something to do with incorrect state ids, I think :anxious:
What a wan*er.

hmm. not sure there's a correlation, but I am using a shark in the hammerhead slot - I'll remove it and see if that does anything. thanks aza for the info.

Does it happen if Lara has her guns out, but there are no enemies around? I'm wondering if that stretching could be from some mishappen joints with Lara's hands...

No, she functions fine when no enemies are present and she also seems to be ok with the baddies who hit her with wrenches. It seems like the problem occurs when she is being shot. I have tried two different SAS men and both have the same results - this distortion.

I have had similar thing happened to me earlier...but it was fixed when I trimmed the wad and fixed sounds etc. Really irritating. Not sure what causes it actually...try to delete stuff from your wad you don't need...maybe a memory thing.
