Re: Download Level Editor
I tried starting in a window. It displays the first screen. But when I select new game it abends. I mean windows comes up with a message saying "Tomb4.exe stopped running" and requesting to close the window. But I don't get any more the message "Failed to setup DirectX"

Re: Download Level Editor
Are you trying to play the levels that came with TRLE or are you trying to play a custom level? If a custom level, which one?
Re: Download Level Editor
I've fixed the problem. It is running fine now. The problem was that My video chipset was integrated with the PC and this chipset was not supported by TRLE. I deactivated the chipset and added a new video card and everything works fine

Re: Download Level Editor
Very odd. I can run it on a laptop with integrated Intel graphics and it works just fine.
Glad you finally got it going.

Re: Download Level Editor
Is there any Level Editors that are compatible with Windows 8? What about NGLE?
A mistake is simply another way of doing things--Katharine Graham
Re: Download Level Editor
I haven't fully tried it as I wasn't really building at the time, but if I remember correctly, TRNG was working fine when I had Windows 8.
Re: Download Level Editor
Is this some community-made editor? Because I have bad experiences with editor bundled with Chronicles, it tends to crash for me if I even look at it funny (gog version of chronicles). Not sure if it is because of OS incompatibilities (W7 x64) or because it was written like crap in first place.
By the way, this is my first post on the forums, hello! I hope to make some cool maps in future or maybe even whole campaign if I'll have enough time and won't chicken out at the first sign of troubles.
//edit: By bundled editor I meant winroomedit.exe, this one: http://i.imgur.com/Ir3ppsf.png
//edit #2: Oh no, same exact thing

Re: Download Level Editor
If you are running TRLE or TRNG on win7, it is best to install it in the My Documents folder.
You may also want to try some compaitbility modes, like WinXP or something.
Btw, is that screenshot of a glitch you have been getting yourself?
Oh, and yes. That is the editor we are all using. It is the original winroomedit.exe.
You need to install the full TRLE first before installign TRNG in the same folder.
The TRNG comes with a fan-made updated version of the winroomedit.exe and an extended version of the engine. It allows for a lot more features than the original TRLE.
