I've just seen... You're located in Russia? Is that in Petrograd? Are you the czar? Lol.

His Twitch name is Tchaikovsky, so I guess he leans more towards art.

The only problem here is Mehrbod's level was an engine feature test.
But people mistook it for another TR4 Gold and got disappointed.
It's another unnecessary issue because you don't know how to communicate...

^Ah, you're not the first to inquire about my reasoning for not giving 10s in my reviews nor are you likely to be the last. My reasoning for that is simple... I feel giving 10s indicates to the average joe, that a given levelset is flawless
Actually, 10/10 was never "flawless", it's "wow, superb, amazing". So I don't agree with your reasoning, especially when nobody else reviews like you and you only review certain levels, so your "system" damages some ratings while leaving other ones intact. You single-handedly create a very inaccurate ranking picture, which may be a death sentence for some levels if you acknowledge players need a 9.00+ or they skip.

Obvious (and elementary but I didn't think of it...), my dear Watson. 'Flawless' doesn't exist.

oh old man, this topic was created to discuss the situation of ceamonks in their reviews, not to argue with an old man who complains about everything the alpha male thinks.

You know, besides trolling you can be funny... As in maybe the least polite, least respectful person we've ever seen around here.
But who wouldn't have a good laugh at your alpha-male impersonation?
You remind me of Bambi or young Simba... ;)

Problem is I've seen many 15-year olds acting a lot more mature. Really. 8)

Ok, it's time to move on now.
Any more back-and-forth bickering will be deleted.

In addition,if Mehrbod and Cemonks have anything more to say pertaining to the method of reviewing levels, the Review Forum
viewforum.php?f=71
is much the best place to do it.

Coming late to the "party" and all has been said really that needed to be said, so in closure, let me just pick a few quotes from all of the above, which reflect the essence of some of the key points I would have made myself in the discussion:

"... The best way to make your views heard and where to make them really count is to write a review ... The more reviews a level gets, the lesser the one negative review really matters ..."

"...I don't understand why you want to throw your unofficial career as a builder away, over just a small guy like me..."

"... The reviewer’s job is to review the end product, not the process that led to it. ... "

"... with any level(set), scores seem to eventually balance out to something which is representative..."

As others have rightfully mentioned, I am very sorry to see such a polite, friendly and helpful person leave. These traits are rare these days, especially at such young age, so they will be greatly missed. The reasoning is very understandable though - people have different levels of "sensitivity" and some skins are thicker than others and can deal with more and some with less "criticism" (justified or not). All the best to you either way, Mehrbod! And it is a small world and you may be back at some point in time in the future - who knows... :)
