One time, for instance, I posted a poem named Beam me up, Scottie which, in the global paranoia that surrounds us, could perfectly well be examined if somebody was to look for possible clues of whatever in whatever appeared on the Internet.
[...] The next day or so I got almost a thousand views from Russia. Do Russians understand Portuguese and are they interested in my poetry? I don't think so.
Well, I don’t know about Russians’ (or Americans’) interests in Portugese poetry, but there may be some enclaves who thought you spoke to them. :) Or it was a case of confirmation bias. :( What do I know. Oh, I know: you’re jumping to conclusions.
At present, we can’t even assess if the ‘spike’ in visitor numbers on trle.net is significant in any way. Maybe it was 1 over the previous record, maybe 10. It probably wasn’t 100. Was any cause established for the previous record? Was internet surveillance at a low point then? Who knows.
As for trle, I just made the connection. But only those who can see where the visits originated can draw some kind of conclusion, not me.
Yes, I see. You’re ‘just asking questions’. Nevermind.

Precisely. I'm not at all jumping to conclusions. :)

Regarding the blog, it is (apparently) the most logical conclusion. But it's not that important, anyway.

Yeah, as I said. Just asking questions dot dot dot. :)

But of course it isn’t! Whoever thought it was? But you’ll probably get a spike of six (6) simultaneous visitors out of this! :D

Why my name between brackets?

Has anyone noticed that we set a record a few minutes ago for the number of online users? Wonder what's going on to bring so many people here at one time.
Pretty sure twitch and streaming. We attracted attention of speedrunners, they attracted attention of casual players of original Tomb Raider series. Many of those people are now trying custom levels, some of them are even trying the editor.

Back in topic... I was just listening to a few things... I suppose The Cult are memorable after all. They were an actual hard rock band at a time when pop gigs like Europe and others were considered hard rock. True that they eventually went soft but that doesn't take away what they were back then. Unfortunately, back in those days I didn't have any friends that listened to them. Instead I had to listen non-stop to stuff I hated like Vangelis, Roxy Music (Avalon, their worst album), Soft Cell and whatnot. The Cult were 'it'.

Forgive me for I have sinned when I forgot this (perhaps because it's so unique and doesn't really represent any age). This is top class, of course.

I have a habit (dating back to the eighties) of complaining about the eighties (and the obvious reason is it all went plastic). But wait, not all! I was just driving home and these came to my mind. Plenty of soul there:

Dexy's Midnight Runners: Too-Rye-Ay

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah3LDkefeUU

The Waterboys: The Whole of the Moon

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TON3PORRDQ

Talk Talk: Spirit of Eden

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSfGvuiFOWI

I just don't know, there's so much really. I just think it's a big mistake to believe music has ended in the seventies. In fact, it's evolved (among a lot of trash, as usual).I'd like to add King Crimson's Beat (amazing album) too but unfortunately I can't find it on Youtube.
