Pat Chancey (mugs) Obituary

Post by Phil » 24 Aug 2017 14:04

I thought this was important enough to open a separate thread.

We now have the final proof of Pat's passing:

I encourage all of us to leave a message of condolence in the guest book. Include your country of residence so that others will know how far and wide Pat's influence extended.

I definitely will (as soon as I'm on my PC). And I hope everybody else will too. Thanks Phil.

Just to let people know - Don't write non-english letters because the book will not register them. It cut part of my name because of it.

Yeah, I know (although I haven't written anything yet) - like I have to write Simoes instead of Simões and all that. It's an American thing. Like considering the Portuguese and the Spanish as "Hispanics". By the way, do we have to choose some state or may we just leave that in blank?

I've just added in my message, and I think the State option you can leave blank if you don't live in America, Canada or one of the "Islands".

Uploaded my own message to the guest book server. I hope this will help to comfort mugs' family and real-life friends during this difficult time :comfort:

Thanks Phil, much appreciated. I've been searching for it. I'm sure her family will appreciate it, she touched a lot of lives.

I am so saddened to hear this.
Have signed the guest book, and my heart goes out to her family and friends.

I am shocked and at first I was somewhat lost for words.

Pat was always very kind to me here in PM. She was also a great builder and I for one shall miss her kind words. Was she unwell? If so she probably kept this private. I am genuinely deeply saddened to learn of her passing and must post on the link provided. I will also honour her by playing some of her levels.

Rest in Peace, wonderful lady. Thank you for your kind friendship across the vast miles. God bless,

Lo

OMG... I just saw at the end of the level I just played in memory of Pat. I am lost for words and totally heart broken. She was my angel here

I have come to know of some of her health problems but I believe it has to be up to Pat's sister as to what is divulged in public. I only know what has been passed to me in PM but it would be inappropriate to make that public as I am sure you will appreciate

The fact remains that Pat was a wonderful person and a fantastically talented builder and as such we should respectfully remember her as she was for she was evidently a very private person and a lady who deserves to have her leagcy respected rather than folks picking over any of the finer details of the nature of her passing.
