And I found out the album was actually released on May 26! But the date is and will be June 1... :)

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was, indeed, a turning point in music.

But I always felt that the revolution was only completed with the double-whammy release of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn two months later.

Either album, on their own, would have been interesting blips on the music scene, but both together had an impact that we still feel the repercussions of.

And both of them are still very high on my play lists. :)

Heres to the next fifty years. :2thumbsup:

My boyfriend bought the collection (the Anniversary one). It cost a bomb and I was none too pleased but it keeps him happy so meh :bandana:
