No need to complain. We already have dsl and ISDN. I don`t understand why I must give up ISDN because it is digital techology as far as I know. They say analog will be stopped but why does this affect ISDN and dsl ? That`s what I don`t understand.

Maybe the whole thing involves costs? But it's true: it can't be stopped.

Cooper cables have been replace with optical fiber cable. More costs of course. New contract with 24,99 € for two years. Starting with year 3 36, 99 € for every year.

24 € for fibre (TV + net included) looks good from where I stand (looking from Portugal, actually Spain in this precise moment in which I type). I wouldn't worry unless I were really broke.

Not sure if anyone who visits here was personally affected, but my thoughts are with Manchester right now... :|

I came down to the awful news on the TV yesterday morning. It was such a shock. I live approximately eight miles south of Manchester city centre and so it's 'my' city really - one I know and love. So sad that so many young people have lost their lives so needlessly. We live in strange times. :cry:

My condolences to all those affected. This was an unprovoked, senseless attack on innocent people and it's just sickening. My condolences to everyone affected.

@Jay. Good to hear you're OK. :hug:

This attack is really disgusting...terrorist attacks are the most sickening acts of violence ever, but it's particularly horrifying when young people are targeted...

I even heard that misogyny may be involved...:veryangry2:

I really, really can't stand the toxic combination of religious zealotry and misogyny, it's the worst!

@Jay

I'm glad you're ok. :hug:

Again... :(

So, wasn't Trump going to smash and crash ISIS and all that?

Let me lighten the mood.
Recently arrived back from a long weekend at Gerty's place.
Here's Amsterdam a couple of days ago:

Here's the Rijksmuseum:

And here are Gerty and Mulf playing in the evening:

I'm glad you all had such a great time in Holland, Ian, Gerty and Mulf! :2thumbsup:

As for me, twice now I've had to pull 12-hour shifts at the computer store (so yes, I can work hard, and still take care of myself)...and my apartment search in Georgia is more complicated than I had hoped (compared to Idaho, it is harder, but at least living on my own is possible, compared to Maryland, where rent is hard to afford). I have given myself two options, and I have to make a decision soon. I got approved for an apartment where I'll have to live with a tight budget, but I'm trying to follow up on a cheaper apartment where access to communication got harder over the last day or so.

However, I am really looking forward to the new job in Georgia, there will be a lot to learn there in terms of terrain (heat and humidity notably) and social context.

@Ian

Thanks for letting me know, I did look up Covington, and it sounds like a nice town indeed, I'm glad your son had a good time there. :)

Edit: Ok, the phone number is working again for the cheaper apartment, there is hope...
