The Madness of March

Post by JesseG » 02 Mar 2017 00:56

Welcome to March! Had some lovely spring-like weather the past few days, unfortunately it will be back to below freezing tomorrow.

I was very sick last week - enough that I went to the hospital (first time I've been to the ER), but doing much better now. I'm quite grateful for a boyfriend in the medical field that is so supportive during these times. :)

Ah, yes. Good Old March. :) Haven't really got much to say. Rather snowed under with schoolwork at the moment (not to mention slightly stressed) so haven't really been raiding as much. Rather cool down my neck of the woods, but it's not too bad. On the bright side, only one month until my 18th birthday, so I'm not complaining, really.

Sorry to hear you were sick, Jesse. But glad you're feeling better now. :2thumbsup:

I'm glad you're feeling better JesseG. And Ryan, hang in there regarding your studies.

As far as the job search is concerned, I have two long-term possibilities in my field of study (one that will start in April in Georgia if I get it, one in Baltimore).

Merry March everyone. Nice to think spring is just around the corner.

Glad you feel better Jesse. Getting out of hospital is the best bit, although my recent stay has certainly made me appreciate our NHS. They really did look after me.

@ Hits and Ryan. Hang in there you two, I'm sure you will both succeed in your endeavours. I must say sometimes I'm grateful to be old. I really do think young people these days have a much harder time of it than my generation.

Thank you Ryan, Pat, Jay and JesseG.

@Jay

I agree with you that things are a lot harder for my generation than yours work-wise. I make an effort to be honest about "what went wrong" in a job application process...and at least there are some places I am perfectly qualified for!

Well, my paperwork finally got cleared, so I can now claim that I have a graduate certificate in hydrology from New Mexico Tech in my job search!

@Hits
Glad to see things are looking up. :2thumbsup:

As for me, I've learned to take everything in stages and maintain a positive outlook. As a result, I'm feeling much better about myself. :2thumbsup:

We have a lot of rain here, sometimes or not ... Welcome to March.
It looks like it's going to be a bit more cold than February, hope Spring will comes soon. :)

We here have no constant weather, sometimes 20 c and sunshine and on the next day we drop back to less than 10 c and rain and a very powerful wind with 120 to 150 kilometres per hour. Today it was rather cold in the morning and antemeridian and the powerful wind had blown directly into my face and slowed me down while I walked into town.

Thanks Pat, this is a degree I'm really proud of!

Well, I am getting a part-time job at a computer store...I'll do everything I can to succeed at it, it'll make me a better employee for several reasons.

I can resume my life, and rebuild my income!
