Cheers Ryan, my dear. Actually I'm feeling like quite a lively old trout now. :D

Try as I might, Pat, I can't get rid of this old banner. No amount of highlighting anything is giving me a 'delete' option at all. :dunno:

Jay, I deleted it for you directly in the database now...

You can find it in the User Control Panel (UCP) on the Profile tab and then via Edit Signature

Michael has determined the following: The Spoiler2 function indeed does no longer work and I have not yet figured out how to get rid of the spoiler2 button, BUT I have now added a working Spoiler function using the BBcodes:
SpoilerShow
...

In order to use this, you need to first initiate the quote function - this will give you a post that can be properly copied and pasted into whatever post you want.

I have also posted this information in the Stuck Forum Spoiler thread.

just a general question: we lost the function of an email alert to a Private Message posting some time ago (not sure it was hack-related). Is it possible to get that back?

Just nipped in to say thank you for restoring the forum so swiftly, Michael. I've been playing quite a few older levels and browse most evenings whilst sat here in my "Directors" chair suffering with my spinal issues :D

It was quite literally a jaw-drop when I went to peruse the level listings only to read your message. Thankfully I had oodles of unfinished levels in my downloads so it was actually quite beneficial for me personally to revist some unfinished games.

I recall once having my old forum hacked. I awoke to a myriad of e-mails from members expressing their concerns. I couldn't believe it as I hadn't backed up much at all so had to rebuild it from scratch then e-mail each member individually from the notebook where I had all of their usernames etc. listed. Never anticipated THAT in all honesty - my mistake for not backing things up.

Well it's SO good to have logged back in each day and after just a short while there we were again, firmly re-established. I may not contribute much to the forum but am trying now to ensure I leave a review when a level is completed. I have replayed so many inadvertantly - recognising the gameplay moments in only to find I had completed, deleted and never left any feedback :hammer:

Best wishes,

Lo/HP

maybe I'm thinking too simple, but can't you just delete the '2' in the codes of the spoiler function? It works as spoiler, not as spoiler2 :)

SpoilerShow
test of Spoiler function
Thanks for the pointer, Dutchy, was not quite that simple, but put me on the right track.... You can now see a Spoiler button instead of the Spoiler2 and it should work as expected. :)

Precisely. What the heck was that?

Was it some devious way of showing us all things are impermanent? Even trle.net? :widemouth:
