For us it was going from -1°C to +15°C within a single day. It's called "temperate climate".

Quite cool over here at the moment, and I think it has taken its toll on me cause I am battling a cold!

Yep. June 1. Both Sgt. Peppers and David Bowie (his first album, of course) were released precisely 59 years ago. :)

wow! I was a freshman in college! :D

edit: wait a minute - it would have been 49 years ago, not 59. I didn't attend college when I was 9.

 :whip: And right you are. Obviously. 49 years ago and I stand corrected. :)

The weather is getting nicer in Idaho, the temperatures are not fluctuating as wildly, though there was quite a bit of wind and dust the last two days.

Week 3 of work is going well, I can now read a fluvial landscape better than before! :2thumbsup: On a stream today, I even found myself dropping down a steep bank and climbing up a steep bank like Lara Croft! :D And for my school status, it looks like I'm on a second semester of academic probation, which is the best outcome I could've hoped for...I'm determined to get an A- to graduate in December (I have a break until August)!

Regarding hobbies, kung fu is really teaching me a complementary aspect of martial arts, and now that I had some practice casting my fly rod, I plan on fly-fishing soon.

@Ryan

Yes, I'm starting to have confidence that good things can happen in my life.

Oh yes, it was an experience I was proud of and excited about. :2thumbsup:

Well I tried fly-fishing for the first time, and I didn't catch anything. I will make an effort to show up at a pond or a stream in the morning in order to boost my chances.

Kung fu class was pretty awesome, there is a lot of focus on grounding and loosening up the body for effective moves.

Strange - I went out to my back patio and thought this weather is just like the aftermath of a wet hurricane; dark, wet with gusty winds.
Came into the house and found that, yes, according to weather reports our county is getting some of that storm that was supposed to flow way above us to the North.
That's the thing about storms (not sure it made it to hurricane status) no matter how many computer generated paths are forecast or what any expert has to say, storms are going to go and do whatever the storms decide.

Anyway, this one surprised me.
It's no big storm but still reminiscent of others that were.

How you doing mugs? ....and everyone else who may be in Fl.

I haven't checked the storm's path so I don't know if it was close to you.
I thought this one was headed to Pensacola, across the state and then away.

...hurricane hitting cheetos factory...
...snacks flying upwards in a stormy whirl...
...falling like rain into the river...
...gators hopping out, mouth open to catch them...

...yes, I think mugs is fine...

:D Tons of rain here and very windy (gusting up to 50+ mph) all day, but Colin is on his way up the north-eastern coast now so it's mostly just gusts of wind in my neck of the FL woods. The kittens were the first thing to be secured, then the cheetos.
