When one registers, it means he already thinks seriously about the project, so earlier registrations mean the project is well thought. It's good to contrapt flawless storyline and layout sketch in advance, so when the pack is out You instantly know what to build and are more likely to finish on time.

Sorry, but this is the first time I participate to BTB.
The package will be delivered when the inscriptions are closed?

The Sub-forum for testing will be open afterwards? Thanks :D

Yes, we still have some things to fix, and we'll use the registration period for that. When this is closed, You get the subforum access and the package :)

When I first heard about it, I was worried as well. In theory:

1) I could make objects to fit my storyline while You couldn't
2) I had more time to build when You didn't.
3) I knew the topic so I could plan while You only can now.

But I found out all three don't matter. Here's why:

1) Whatever I do to fit my storyline, You can still design a better one using the same stuff as I did, and execute it the way which totally beats mine. Also, as much as having a ready object makes the work easier, not having it makes it original. When the Khmer package didn't include a heart puzzle I wished for, I could just drop the idea... but no - I got so determined to compete for the missing pickup that I made a whole wall heart flipmap in its place. The brain flipmap followed to match the first one, and both worked together to open the central gate... Believe it or not, but the whole underground zone which takes 30 minutes to play has been made just because of one missing pickup... which, if existent in the package, would be just a pickup like any other. In fact You can turn any disadvantage into advantage, what destroys the concept of having an advantage and means the chances are still equal.

2) There is actually no time to build in advance, because all is invested in resource making. After a night of deleting texture infos I have enough of the package and don't even want to build anything of it but just to fall asleep :)

3) Preparing and using the pack differs like growing and cooking potatoes - watered and cherished for months, they can still get you sick if prepared without care, even if You follow a recipe studied in advance. Moreover, if I'm one of these who invited You to such a risky dinner, how can I not challenge myself with eating it? I will join the table, for if I let You swallow crashes and vomit with bugs while I just watch from safe distance, THAT would be unfair :D

History proves all the above makes sense. In all editions, a package creator has never won the competition. Any exception would just mean a great building talent has emerged parallelly to preparation one. But these two live their own lifes, not disturbing each other.

Just a question, will the objects that are included in the package be lighted so that when you light a flare it won't bug around?

PM sent. The theme sounds exciting!
Let's see if I can get back to building in the Summer during those two happy months without university. It never hurts to try, does it? :)
