Thanks for liking. :)

I think I had the very best teachers among musicians, writers, poets and painters (in my humble opinion). I only wish we all spoke one single language in the world, that would make things much easier. As it is, maybe I'll be well appreciated someday after my passing. :D

I just knew my 54 years old cousin Filipe, passed after having had a stroke. We hadn't been in touch for a while since he lived in a different part of the country. But I remember him well and how great a friend he was from the old days. I guess I'm shocked.

EDIT: Jeez, yes, I'm shocked. I was just talking to one of his sisters on the phone and I started speaking of the old days and how great a friend he was then and almost cried. I won't be able to attend the funeral, anyway. Better let it go...

All you can do is to clean your house, place garbage out and pretend, how beautiful you are.

Sorry Jorge. My friend died few years ago at the same age, it was quite a shock. My condolences to you and family. They will start dying, you get used to it ... :)

Thank you, Oxy. Fact is they could well die much later and that would be less shocking.

My condolences to you Jorge. I think you should go to the funeral. At least that`s what I did when my mother died. Of course I cried a lot during the funeral and when her coffin was in the grave I couldn`t stop crying. It will be hard for you but eventually you will deal with it much easier when you showed your dead cousin how much you liked him. Keep him in memory and life will go on. Equal at which age friend or relatives die it will always be hard for their friends and children.

Thanks a lot for your kind (and wise) words, av. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it. But at least I made a poem for him in my poetry blog I've been keeping since 2005. When we were younger, much younger, now that I see it and even though it's only a three years difference between us, he was like a great older brother to me. So, those days will never be forgotten. I have no idea whether there's an afterlife or if it's all wishful thinking, but just in case there is, in that case he undoubtedly knows those days will always be dearly remembered. :)

When someone of the closest die, is awful, that silence and no returning.

Too true. Some people claim to contact the spirits and so forth. I can vouch nobody ever came back to contact me in anyway. It's a noisy kind of silence. Well, let's talk about something else albeit not really cheerful...

In about ten minutes from now, Portugal will be facing Ghana. Since Portugal played so "well" against Germany and not as well as needed against the States, they'll need to smash Ghana while Germany smashes the US - that's the only way we'll ever make it. Hmm, I seriously doubt it. I believe our team will be heading back to Portugal tomorrow. And it serves them well too so that maybe someday somebody will take things seriously.

EDIT: And that's that. We won against Ghana but we had already lost the championship the day we played like dummies against Germany.
