I think you'll be happy with it. And when used in conjunction with the wad credits document, you'll have all the right names and spelling of enemies etc for the walkies. :D

It's Tomb Raider Jim... but not as we know it.

I registered :) I love the theme and I'm sure the package will be amazing :2thumbsup:

I've got a lot going on with work right now, but I'm really hoping it will quiet down soon so that I'll have enough time to build. I had so much fun making my Steampunk level, but unfortunately last year I didn't have enough time to really get any level building done. This time I plan to try harder to make the time.

Whether the builders are or not, I can assure you the players will be.

I remember that epic liquid tank with dozens of underwater knives :D[/quote]

I hope there are no builders who'll treat this ^ as a challenge :sneaky:

Thanks... Its origin was half a coincidence, but now I think the jumping balls might do as symbols of Cambodian Gods while the middle flat shadow nicely represents rollingball-flattened Lara.

This is the best documentary I could find on Khmer (and most recent, Dec. 13, 2013). It's in Chinese so if you don't know Chinese (like me) there should be a CC button near the bottom right of the video, where you can turn on subtitles to the language of your choice- although I am not sure if it is available in anything other than English. It's very very fascinating and pretty much confirms my storyline :D

Pfft, you don't have to remember. That's the point of having a stickied first post to refer back to.

Just a general comment to all:
I appreciate the thought about all these other things, but please leave the organizing to the package Team and everything will be fine. I'm trying my hardest to ensure that things run smoothly and that builders only need to worry about being productive, building and completing a level, not micro-managing organisational stuff.

Yes - but if I forget about a feature that has never been a part of the package before, I won't even expect to search for it in the initial reference post.

Wow THAT was unpredictable :-o I'd rather expect a Martian meteorite crashing on my carpet through the roof... [looks around to check if there's no sudden lava crater instead of a table behind him]

So many people in list. I wonder who will guess who's the builder of certain level in this case :D
And presence of many famous level builders surely will make the newbies to do their best :)

This year I won’t have time to participate in the competition, but I will in the player’s part. :)

Hi there :hello: ! This is my first time with the Back to Basics building competition. Certainly the theme is very promising and I can picture several great levels will be made with the resources we will be getting in the near future.

I've read the opening post and it says we can use traditional method of scripting. I take for granted we can do it, but I'm going to ask it anyway: can we use distance fog if needed instead of using volumetric fog? Just to make sure. Thanks in advance :) !

Oh Lord, I completely forgot about DOSbox. That program was so annoying last year, since; I had windows 7. Now that I have windows 8, it'll probably do everything I want it not to do. :annoyed:
