His dog is with him and the dog also is watching the TV.
The bar , although crowded is very quiet , for nothing is going on on the screen

But suddenly, a goal is scored by the French team. Everyone in the bar is taken by surprise and noone seems to know exactly how to react

But the dog begins yapping and running everywhere causing a bit of a mess !

The neighbor asks the owner of the dog : - What is happening to your dog ?
- He is a fan of the French team, the owner answers.
- Mmhhh, this is strange. and all this for only one goal ! And what does the dog do when the French team wins a match?
- I could'nt say I have the dog for only 2 years ...

For the other teams: Germany will win a lot of matches, it's possible it'll appear in the final, but it won't win the cup. England won't gain any of the prizes. Netherlands can have 3rd or 4th place. French and Italy... err... no idea .

eRIC - you are French. So, could you tell me why the national French football team is composed of only black men? I thought French are white people ... I don't want to offend anyone, I'm just curious.

Yes there is an important percentage of players who are black.

France have some overseas departments where people are mainly black or metis. (for example Malouda is from there).

Also people have recently immigrated from black Africa where football is the main sport practised.

2 or 3 generations ago, you could find men who immigrated from Poland or Italy in the French football team. One of the best football player that France had (in the 1950's) was Raymond Kopa (Raymond Kopaszewski)

I voted Portugal and Brazil. I really don't think Portugal may win (the coach is just way too laid back, wish we had Mourinho) but Brazil really might. Or some other team... Anyway, I always think of how Pelé once played and that will always make a difference to me.

Interesting that you mention... The same kind of thing happens with Portugal. Of course, if a player comes from abroad he has to get the Portuguese nationality. But I find it much worse these days when you see entire teams where not one of the players is of the club's nationality. It's just weird. And that's business for you!

Go Italy! Although their gameplay is not spectacular at all I love their determination and ambition. And they are soooo good looking!
