THE ANCIENT JADE MASK (Demo)

First Courtyard

In the first courtyard turn left, go inside the wooden building, pick up the flares and climb the crates to find a hole with a switch; pull it to open a trapdoor outside. Go out and turn left/left to find the open trapdoor near the corner.

Climb down the ladder and at the end of the dark corridor shoot some rats, light a flare and look for a hard-to-see wall switch near the entrance opening; pull it to open a door in the courtyard and go back there.

The Main Street

Run up the ramp and at the end of the path, once you are in the main street, take the first passage to your right, climb the crates at the end to get a small medipack and go back to the main street. Advance and soon a doberman and a brawler will be released; dispatch them and go to the building they came from, enter and in the room with crystals on the floor (spikes) jump to the wooden ledge to your left and push the movable block embedded in the wall to get SECRET #1: a Silver Brooch Jewelry.

From the ledge where the block was, take a running jump over the crystals to the corner with the ladder, climb to the top, jump back and continue jumping to the opening at the other side of the room. Shoot the window and take another running jump to grab the edge of the opposite balcony, shoot the next window and in the small room pick up the shotgun shells right from the entrance and shoot the killer who will drop a small medipack. Pull the wall switch in the next room to open a door in the main street. Go back there.

First Rusty Key

Run down the ramp, climb the crates in the corner and quickly turn around to shoot the killer on the balcony. Jump onto the awning, slide/grab the edge and shimmy to the right, hoist up and jump back to land on the small balcony, pick up the small medipack the killer dropped, go inside and locate the button behind the flower pot to open the trapdoor in the corner.

Drop into the room below, shoot the killer and get his RUSTY KEY; the exit door will open and a brawler appears. Go back to the main street and use the key to open the last door.

The Basement

Walk over the trapdoor to your right and it will open; in the basement shoot a couple of rats, jump over the spiked pits and walk slowly in the last room to reach the niche with the wall switch; pull it to open the next door and go back outside the way you came using the movable crate near the entrance to climb the high ledge.

The Pier Area

From the main courtyard turn left, advance and shoot the killer on the small balcony; continue to the pier area. From the entrance turn right and shoot a brawler near the crates; climb them, pick up the flares and drop into the hole. Take a running jump to the safe bricked block and another running jump to grab the crack in the opposite wall, shimmy left, hoist up and pull the wall switch to open the door in the pier area. Go back there the way you came.

The Shotgun

Don't mount the boat yet but jump into the water, swim right/right and look for a triangular underwater opening near the corner to get the SECRET #2: a Bronze Brooch Jewelry. Now mount the boat and drive to the back side of the canal where the killer is, dismount, shoot it and explore the wooden building to get the SHOTGUN, flares, shotgun shells and a large medipack. One of the crates is movable, so pull it once and pull the wall switch the crate hid to raise a door in a canal outside.

Second Rusty Key

Mount the boat and go through the narrow canal, dismount on the ledge with the keyhole and jump into the water in the corner near the keyhole to find an UW lever; pull it to raise a nearby door. Mount the boat again and go through the opening with the raised door, dismount and look for the small medipack in an UW niche. Continue through the passage, shoot a doberman and jump into the water; look for a small crawlspace near one of the corners to find a second RUSTY KEY. Go back to the boat and to the ledge with the keyhole to open that door.

Raising a Trapdoor

Shoot the killer and go inside, pick up the shotgun shells on the window sill and move the crates left from the entrance so you can pull the switch behind them to open the trapdoor at the top of the ladder. Climb the ladder, take a standing jump to grab the crack in the wall and shimmy right to the very end; shoot the killer in the next room, pick up the shotgun shells and shoot the window. From the small ledge outside take a running jump to the top of the closest crates and a last running jump to the top of the crates next to the windows in the brown bricked wall; drop into the small hole in the corner to find a wall switch to pull and raise a trapdoor somewhere (for later).

Underwater Business

Now go back down, to the place where the boat was parked, jump into the water and look for an UW lever near the corner opposite the one with the secret (at the other side of the pier); pull it to open the UW door under the pier and swim there. Swim always to your right (notice another closed door, for later) and pull a second UW lever, continue following the only possible path until you can surface.

Timed Trapdoors

Save in front of the timed button near the entrance, press it, roll and run to the opposite wall with a right curve so you can take a running jump without stop to land onto the first timed trapdoor; take another running jump to the second one and a last running jump to grab the crack in the wall before the trapdoor falls (take care with the low ceiling; jump from the left side); shimmy left, hoist up and pull the wall switch to open the door you saw in the UW passage moments ago. Swim back there, continue swimming and pick up the shotgun shells in a niche to your left before you can surface.

Advance and forget the ladder at this moment (closed trapdoor at its top), climb the opening to your left, shoot the rats and pull the wall switch to open that trapdoor; go back there and climb the ladder to the top.

The Storage Room

In the storage room, quickly draw weapons and shoot a doberman, a brawler and a killer on the high crates too. Explore the room to find a large medipack and shotgun shells over the crates. You can use the wall switch to open the big double doors and find yourself back in the pier area, but there are still some tasks to accomplish in this area.

First Central Plaza Key

Climb the low crate in the corner near the hole where you first entered here and take a running jump to grab the edge of the higher opposite box; hoist up and continue jumping from crate to crate all around the room timing the swinging boxes and helping with the window sills too until you eventually find an opening in the wall, go through and move the crate to your left to discover the CENTRAL PLAZA KEY. Perhaps you are tempted to use it in the keyhole you probably saw in the storage room, but this is not the right key (therefore you'll be back here later) so safely drop to ground floor, exit to the pier and go all the way back to the main courtyard with the fountain.

Shooting the Bell

Just some meters before the main courtyard there is a passage to your left leading to a dead end with crates. That's the place where the trapdoor raised where you used the switch near the big windows a long time ago. Go to the back of that passage, climb the crates and jump to grab the raised trapdoor, hoist up and take a running jump over the balustrade to the next balcony, take a second running jump to the red awning, slide/grab the edge, shimmy left to the end, hoist up and jump back to another balcony; take a standing jump around the corner to the next balcony and a last running jump to the small balcony with the small medipack. From here, face the big bell over the clock, draw pistols and jump and shoot the bell (Lara will look to her right, somewhere in the courtyard).

The Hedge Maze

Safely drop to ground floor and go to the opposite side of the courtyard, where a door is now open. In the courtyard with the gazebo go to the left side and enter into the hedge maze; go always to the left when possible until you alert a doberman and a brawler (there is a small medipack to pick up if you take the left branch); dispatch them and from that point go always to your right until you eventually find a wall switch, pull it to open a door somewhere and run always to your right until you find the open door.

Second Central Plaza Key

From the area with the horse statue go left, shoot a doberman and explore the small maze to find a movable crate; locate the different marked tile on the floor and place the crate onto that tile to open a trapdoor somewhere. Go back to the area with the horse statue and take the other passage to find the open trapdoor.

For a secret: look for a phantom wall near a corner (left and at the back, looking from the entrance) to get the SECRET #3: a Golden Brooch Jewelry, 3 X shotgun shells and a large medipack.

Climb down the ladder and pick up the second CENTRAL PLAZA KEY in the next room. Make you way to go back to the main courtyard with the fountain and use both keys to open the door under the big clock.

The Warehouse Key

Advance and when you get next to the wooden building with the TNT crate a killer will attack (pick up the shotgun shells he drops); notice the detonator near the entrance and go inside the orange building with the open door. Shoot a killer coming down the ramp and go up to the second floor, pick up the shotgun shells and shoot a brawler; continue and in the library room press the button in the fireplace to open the nearby door, go inside, pick up the small medipack near the window and walk slowly over the crystals to pull the switch and open a door in the first floor.

Go back to the first floor and in the next room pick up the shotgun shells in a corner and notice the hole in the grated ceiling. Look for a movable crate in another corner and place it under the hole in the ceiling so you can climb it and go up to finally get the WAREHOUSE KEY. Do you remember the closed door with the keyhole you left behind? Yes, it was in the storage room near the pier with the boat, so go all the way back there and use the key to open that door.

The Detonator Key

Kill the doberman and two killers, pick up the shotgun shells one of them drops and climb the higher crate to get the DETONATOR KEY. Now go all the way back to the main courtyard, through the opening under the clock and to the wooden building with the detonator near the entrance. Use the key to activate the detonator and the TNT crate explodes; drop into the hole where the crate was and slide down the ramp to finish the level.
