TOMB OF THE ANCIENT WARRIORS

First Secret

Slide down the ramp hitting with the rocky wall at the end, slide backwards a couple of times but grab the edge of the rocks before drop onto the bridge with the skeleton, shimmy left, hoist up and back-flip with twist and a right curve to land onto a flat ledge near the green pillar. From here, approach to the abyss and take a long running jump to the right of the other green pillar in the opposite side of the pit; now turn around and take a last running jump around the green pillar to your left to the ledge in the corner and get SECRET #1: Golden Coins.

Going Down

Now take a standing jump to the bridge with the skeleton and pick up the flares. From this bridge I found two ways to go down to the bottom of the room:
- The easiest way is, facing the wall with the spikes below, turn left and take a long running jump to the sloped pillar attached to the wall (you can use the crack and the opposite pillar too, but it's not necessary), slide, grab the edge, drop, grab the crack below, shimmy left, drop, grab the crack below and drop to ground floor.
- A harder way is, from the same position, jump back and grab the edge of the bridge, shimmy right to get over the breakable tile in the corner, drop and quickly use "Alt + End + Down Arrow" to back-flip with twist and grab the edge of the sloped pillar at your back, shimmy right, hoist up, slide and jump with a right curve to the flat ledge left of the arch; from here grab the edge and safety drop to ground floor.

Opening the first Door

Facing the wall with the spikes, turn left and go to the corner behind the pillar with the cracks to find a ladder, climb to the top and from the center of the arch drop/grab without catch the edge to land onto the ledge with the switch below. An easier way is to drop/grab the edge from the left or right sides (the sloped parts of the arch) and drop/grab the edge below. Pull it to open a door somewhere. Safety drop to the floor and run directly to the room with the sarcophagus in front of you.

The Great Hall Key

Find the open door to your left, pick up the flares the skeleton possessed and notice that the lower part of the middle pillar is movable; move it onto the marked tile to open the tomb outside. Go there and drop into the hole, pick up a large medipack, shotgun shells and 2 X uzi clips; approach and fight with the Chinese warrior, pick up the Great Hall Key and pull the switch to open the door. Take a running jump from the very right side of the blades, taking some damage and shoot a small spider.

Cave with the Jumper

Use the jumper to reach the high rocky ledges right of the entrance (I got it by running over one of the corners and turning when in midair), climb the highest block and take a running jump to the bridge. Use the switch and turn right 90 degrees; take a running jump with grab to land onto the slope below, slide and jump before the end to avoid the spikes. Continue up to the sarcophagus room and to the main hall.

Second Secret

Back in the main hall, go further away to the other side and use the jumper to reach the high ledges (the same trick as before). Push the block under the wall torch twice and once aside to get SECRET #2: Golden Ingots, plus the shotgun shells and uzi clips. Use the key to open the door and first go to the caves to your left; drag the cages to pick up 2 X shotgun shells, a large medipack, uzi clips and the uzis itself. Out of the caves, better turn left and shoot the Chinese warrior first. Now drop through the hole right of the entrance to a dark maze where you'll find a small medipack, flares and a bunch of small spiders too. Climb up the ladder to find a small lava room.

First Lava Room

Take a running jump to the slope in front of you, slide and jump to the next slope, slide and jump to the slope in the opposite wall; now slide and jump with left or right curves until you find yourself jumping between the other two slopes attached to the other wall, roll if necessary so Lara is facing the exit ledge and continue sliding and jumping with right curves to finally grab the edge under the ledge with the columns. Hoist up, pick up the shotgun shells into the hole in the corner and go out to a ledge at the other side where you can stand up and take a standing jump to grab the edge of the ledge with the columns. Go outside to find yourself on a ledge overlooking the room you came from. Also a trapdoor opens to your left creating a shortcut so you don't need to take the lava room path to go up here later (you'll use it soon).

Timed Trapdoors

First timed run: Pull the timed switch, roll and run and jump to the trapdoor and to the ledge with the movable wooden crate, pull/push it onto the protruding part of the ledge, safety drop to ground floor and climb the ladder in the opposite wall of the room to go back up to the timed switch.

Second timed run: Use it again but this time run and jump from the first trapdoor to the top of the crate and, without stop, to the next trapdoor and, again without stop, run and jump to grab the edge of the ledge in the corner (all in one go; if you stop a single second in any place, you'll not get it).

Third timed run: Use the next timed switch, jump back with a left curve so Lara's shoulders are against the pillar right of the switch and take a running jump to the next trapdoor and to the next ledge avoiding the swinging spiked bag on your way (you'll need to be lucky this time; if you touch the bag and die, try by reloading and wait a second or half a second before pull the switch). Now time the next swinging spiked bags and take a running jump to the ledge in the corner (from the edge, take a jump back and wait until the first spiked bad is in the right side near the wall and it starts to swing to the left).

Fourth timed run: Now you can get access to the ledge with the goodies, but don't worry about that or you'll need to repeat all that timed runs; we'll get it later. Use the new timed switch, jump to the first and second trapdoors without stop (try to grab the very right side of the second trapdoor) trying to avoid the swinging spiked bags (as before, if you touch a bag and die, try by reloading and wait a second or half a second before pull the switch). Once you grab the second trapdoor, hoist up and take a curved running jump to the left to grab the upper ledge.

Four Switches Puzzle

Once you grab the edge, hoist up and immediately save your game because a giant spider will try to push you off the ledge. You know what to do. There are four wall switches here, with four different texture tiles above them. Each switch triggers one or several wall torches. This is the behavior for the switches:

- Switch with two faces: lights two faces, warrior and skull.
- Switch with the skull: lights warrior and demon.
- Switch with the warrior: lights skull and demon.
- Switch with the demon: lights skull.

Your goal here is to light all four wall torches so, pull the switches with two faces, demon and warrior. This raises the grates protecting the key in the level below.

The Silver Key

Jump to the ledge right of the skull and to the central structure to get the Silver Key. A nearby trapdoor rises so, jump to the previous ledge, to the trapdoor and now it's time to jump to the ledge with the goodies: pick up 2 X uzi clips and a large medipack. From here drop to the ledge with the wooden crate and safety drop to ground floor. Turn left and use the key in the central pillar to open the double doors alerting two Chinese warriors. Once the calm is restored, go to the open door to discover a big lava room.

Second Lava Room

Turn right and take a running jump to the lower sloped ledge attached to the wall, slide and jump with a right curve to a flat ledge near the lava. Take a standing jump to the slope next to the pillar, slide and grab the edge of the gray slope, shimmy almost to the right, hoist up, slide and jump to the farthest edge of the next slope, slide and jump with a left curve to the next and finally slide with a right curve to a safe place near the grate. Turn right and run and climb to the ledges near the corner to finally jump up to the ledge where a big spider will attack.

Third Secret

Jump to the first ledge timing the rolling wheel, to the second and quickly roll to drop and grab the edge in front of you, shimmy right and drop to grab the crack below, shimmy right, drop/grab the second crack and shimmy right to the very end (there's a slope below) to a flatter ledge to your right; take a running jump to the ledge with SECRET #3: a Golden Skull and a Secret Key (the latter appears in your inventory only if you found and picked up the earlier secrets). Take a running jump to the nearby opening in the wall, climb the ladder and advance through the corridor to find yourself back on the starting ledge. Now you'll have to repeat all the movements to get back to the ledge with the dead spider, use the secret key to open the door and go inside the secret room to get your prize: grenades, a small medipack and move the cage to pick up 2 X grenades and the grenade gun.

Rolling Wheels

Now it's time to deal with the rolling wheels. I did it by approaching to the second tile from the right, wait for the first wheel crossing to the left and quickly jump to the first and second ledges, wait a bit timing the third wheel and jump to the third ledge curving to the left; when the third wheel is back and near to you, jump to the fourth ledge with grab to avoid hitting the ceiling and take a last running jump to the safe ledge.

Area with Multiple Switches. First Ancient Symbol

Pull the first switch you find (switch #1). Go to the room to your right and pull the next switch (switch #2) and to the next room to pull a third switch (switch #3). Go back to the room with switch #1 (don't pull it), a new door opened there; enter and pull the next switch (switch #4). Now return to the room with switch #2 and pull it. Go back to the room with switch #4 and through the open door there to see that a large door is open and there is a new switch (switch #5). Don't pull switch #5 yet, but run and jump over the bridge with breakable tiles (don't wait too long for the jump). In the next room, time the spiked bags taking a diagonal running jump through the small opening and get the first Ancient Symbol. Go back the same way to the room with switch #5.

Area with Multiple Switches; Second Ancient Symbol

Still don't pull switch #5, but continue to pull switch #1 and now go back to finally pull switch #5: another large door opens in the room with switch #3. Go there and take a standing jump to the sloped pillar in the lava, slide and jump in last moment to grab the edge of the opening; from the entrance, turn right, run off the edge onto the higher sloped pillar, slide, jump to grab the crack in the opposite wall, shimmy right, drop, slide and jump back to the flat ledge at your back. Take a curved running jump over the spiked pit to the safe floor at the other side, or simply drop, grab the edge and shimmy right. Pick up the second Ancient Symbol. To go back up to the bridge, climb the ladder, take a back-flip with twist onto the jumper (perhaps you'll need to adjust Lara's position one step up or down) and keep the up and right arrow keys depressed to make Lara curve to the right when flying to land onto the bridge above. From the exit, take a running jump with a right curve to land onto the sloped ledge near the corner, slide and jump to a flatter ledge, climb the blocks and take a last running jump to the ledge near the grated rooms.

Room with Hanging Cages

Now go to the right, to the room with the receptacles for the symbols, shoot a couple of big spiders and place the Symbols to open the door. From the highest part of the entrance take a long running jump with a right curve to grab the right side of the hanging cage to your left; now another running jump to the nearby opening to get a small medipack and uzi clips. Jump back to the cage and from here to the next cage; take a last running jump to the other opening taking care with the low ceiling (line a bit to the right of the top of the arch) and pull the switch to open the door below. From the left side of the opening, take a standing jump (hitting the ceiling) to the ramp to your left and run down to the open door.

The Treasure Room

Now it's time to use a powerful weapon (the grenade gun if you discovered the third secret) to deal with three Chinese warriors. Once you have given them their due, go to the back of the room, pull the wooden crate three times and pull it again twice towards the center of the room; climb it and jump up to grab the upper ledge, take a running jump to the next ledge near the entrance and pull the switch to open the last door. Safety drop to the floor, drop into the hole near the crate and advance towards the treasure to finish the level.
