Hello (again).
After a lot of time without writing a walkthrough I found today the opportunity to write another one. If nobody have started this, I could take an attemp with "Temple of Quatalpac", by Lakota. :) I hope I can remember how to write a walkthrough! :lol:
I've just finished the game with all 5 secrets, but I can't remember where I got them. Don't worry; sure that when I replayed the game I'll write the location of all secrets (I expect...).
Greetings for everybody.
Good afternoon Phil!!! I'm back again!!! (with the permission of _manarch2 and DJFull; of course :) ).

Ah! What regards when Dutchy, Harry, Yoav and I were occupied to this tasks for the Community! 8) But now the time is gone for us (except for André, je je je...). Congrats to the new blood!!! :)

Really noone can or must get permission at least from me, neither I think from DJ. If you want you can write one, anytime. But thanks. I sent you a PM about secrets.

@Jose,

You don't need to ask me for any permission. Especially because I didn't have time to write any walkthru for over a month... Last year, October was indeed a time of my greatest walkthru-writing activity, and I even planned to do the same this year - but as I managed to get on the university, it appeared I don't even have time to play custom levels nor review them... (except Darkness Castle I decided to focus on and beat it at last - recently, I managed to pass the second timed run! Unfortunately, the screen recorder trial version has expired right before I attempted to capture it... Switching to alternative recorder has crashed tomb2.exe and I lost all progress.) This state of stand-by will remain till Advent, so any help You can provide will be priceless. Thank You.

@_manarch2,

For the reason stated above, I also couldn't look at the level You had problem with the walkthru on. I only understand it has various ways to be finished. If it means it is constructed similarly to Winter Choice, You can follow my method - don't describe all paths, but only those parts which are unique to each path... then ask Phil to give links to corresponding paths in places where they split and a player has to make a choice. This way, the walkthru should be 2-4 times shorter, depending on the game length (which I don't know, so I can't know how shorter the writing can get).

@All of You,

I hope You're all going at least as well as the writing does. I'm glad the base remains almost completely full for all this time, since the day we filled it. I'm quite ashamed I can't aid You for so long... but I will try to return and help You as soon as it is possible. Cheers.
MAKE WIDESHOT GREAT AGAIN

Guys, I am sorry to announce that I cannot finish the WT for The Broken Kingdom, because my PC has died, I lost almost all the data, and I need at least two weeks to buy a new one... So if anybody is interested in writing this WT, it is now available. Sorry, I wish it never happened :cry:

Please send it again, José. I checked my inbox for October 18, and it's not there.

A note to all: When I receive a walkthrough from you, I will acknowledge it immediately, even though I may not post it until later because of the two-week rule. If you don't receive a prompt acknowledgment, then it's a safe bet that I didn't receive whatever you tried to send me.

Hi, Phil. :hello:
I assumed that you had not received it, 'cause the days passed and there was no answer. We'll never know what the problem was from (internet servers). Although I knew the standard of fifteen days.
I have forwarded the walkthrough again today. Let me know if all is OK.
Greetings.

Judging from all I've read thus far, The Sacred Emerald is a huge, complex and time-consuming release (either 22 or 23 levels, depending on which post you believe). Therefore, compiling a walkthrough is probably too daunting a task for any one writer. What does the group think about signing on for one or more of the levels? (Of course, this won't work if the gameplay requires going back and forth between levels, but otherwise I believe it would result in less wear and tear on our writers, not to mention a quicker finished product.) If you're so interested, please indicate your chosen level or levels (by name and chronological number) in this thread.

Here's the builder's listing of the levels (with the number of secrets in each one):

Egypt levels:

1. Great Temple of Idfu (4)
2. Underground Remains (4)
3. Tomb of Khamun (2)

Tibet levels:

4. Mine Technical Station (3)
5. Frosty Domain (4)
6. Monastery of Elements (4)
7. Wreck of the RX Explorer (5)

Nevada levels:

8. Security Facility (4)
9. Area 51 (Laboratories) (3)
10. Compound Research Centre (2)
11. Desert Ruins (4)

Peru levels:

12. Peruvian Temples (3)
13. Inca Stronghold (2)
14. Sanctuary of Light (3)
15. Valley Ruins (4)

England levels:

16. Knights Castle (6)
17. Sacred Cathedral (2)
18. Underwater Complex (4)
19. Dungeons of the Complex (3)

Underground levels:

20. Chambers of the Lost Crater (4)
21. Lands of the Lords (4)
22. Temple of the Sacred Emerald (1)
23. Epilogue (0)
