Playing the original games in different languages

Hello all, hope that life is treating you well.

After downloading TR Chronicles from Steam, I noticed many other .dat files included for other languages.
If anyone should know how to make the game run with this option, it would be here.
Also, is this a similar procedure for TR Last Revelation ??
