Wow, this is a first.

My MAC (where I download all levels) suddenly is telling me that the latest levels from Jeff Sadler and Gabriel Croft have a virus.
I presume that is not true but there is no way the Mac will let me download them.

As we say in Holand: Kat met een u :D

Same thing happened to me, not real news at all. My professional AVG license expired, so I now have free Avast. It lets me download any level I want with no fuss or backtalk.

Kat met een u gtranslate = Cat with an u
doesn't make any sense :hammer:
it seems that it's a browser issue
not a antivirus program

I haven't found the translation either. But is it your browser or is it an AV? I find it very hard to believe it's the Mac itself...

You are probably right vimmers.
Firefox (I use Ecosia on that one) is blocking it but Safari (Google search) gives no problems.
Lets hope it stays that way

I suppose it must be Safari that's allowing the downloads as it was precisely Chrome that blocked my Gabriel Croft's download. So, I really think the issue here must lie in Firefox...

From now on and while it lasts, I'm going to stop announcing any level has been blocked by Chrome as Chrome seems to be blocking them all. So, it would be pointless.

I'll see if I can find a way to contact Chrome about it when I have the time and patience...

For now I cannot use Firefox at all to download levels. Safari however doesn't give me a problem.
But is a pain in the neck for sure. :D

Yes!

I use Norton and Internet Explorer on WIN7, and I have them set up so that I can access and download files with no problem. However, Norton's search system states that trle.net is absolutely NOT safe and has viruses/trojans such as a level by Dustie. But the other tomb raider sites with customlevels (i.e. levelbase.org, treditor.hu, and aspidetr.com) are all listed as perfectly safe by Norton.

Google does the same thing because this is the new internet security protocol. You need to configure google and firefox to allow downloads by changing the privacy/security settings. I do not use either of these, so I cannot state what to do, but a search of the internet will give advice for doing this. However, be warned that this can give you malware risks on other websites having nothing to do with tomb raider. You should have malwarebytes (or such) running always in this case.

As I said before (somewhere, sometime) every blog or site I ever had was https and that never cost me a dime. So, I don't see the problem in changing that. And I'd say the same for other forums I visit, which Chrome classes (upper left corner) as insecure.
I don't know, this site isn't mine but blogs on Blogger are always https (I think) and as for sites all I had to do was choose them to be that way, it took me like one second.
