I still can't get this level to work. It loads, then the screen goes black and I can't get back to my desktop unless I sign out. Task manager doesn't even work. Anyone know why?

it's the fmv there are black on your pc


If you have problems in viewing FMVs in-game (but not on your media player), you probably need to download some of the needed codecs. You can find the best codec collector here:

It's the K-lite codecs tool.
Codecs are needed by multimedia players and those ones were tested by Delta, Siphon and me :) They should fix even crash problems when trying to load an fmv or freezing pc on the same situation.

I installed it but it still doesn't work. Same thing goes to black screen after it loads and vimmers esc doesn't work. I don't know much about windows 10 sadly.

NVM I was downloading 7 zip Duh!

Thanks very much for Part 2 of this epic adventure!


EDIT:

The "Tomb_NextGeneration.dll" seems to be the problem. If I swap the (in-game) version 1.3.0.8 to 1.2.x.x the game starts. I'm trying to find the newest but working version right now....I have no idea, what could be the difference...

Edit 2:
Conclusion: My Win10 won't work with any version of "Tomb_NextGeneration.dll" 3.x and up and I don't know why.
If I delete the 4 plugin.dlls the game starts, by the way. But I'm afraid that's not going to fix my problem.




Seems I might be the only one with a little problem: I can't start the *.exe. I'm on Win 10 and no matter if Admin or not. No problem with the Anti-Virus thingy or TR dlls per se. Part 1 worked like a charm as far as I remember as do other regular levels.

This is pretty basic, but I want to be sure before I go through the download and installation process. Will Season 2 play in Windows XP?

I dunno Phil. I had Vista and it didn't work, but my tower was so old I couldn't even get on wireless internet. Now I can get right on.

@Phil: if season1 worked to you, no reason why season2 shouldn't :)

hello, sorry I can answer only now, the site was off line few days.
yes, use the 1.3.0.8 tomb raider dll and delete the plugins dlls, it should work :)

it's already one month since release of HyperSquare s1+s2, so it's time for me to do a tiny celebration :)
So, here it is for you a preview of future SEASON 3 of HyperSquare :)
It will be compatible with previous seasons, this time it will be 97% sure that your savegame at the end of s2 will work fine to start s3, and so, no more "very huge pack" to download again as previously, that is, you only have s3 as stand alone game, and few light files to use to combine the game with previous seasons, if you like to have all the seasons linked together as a whole bigger, very huge game XD

I plan about 14 levels, more or less, I can't check the txt file on my pc at the moment to give you the exact amont So, yes, it will be the longest seasons of them all :)

I am not going to show you very much, this time, for this season. Next update in fact will be most probably next year or for the usual printable Christmas postcard, as every year but who knows :D
And I am NOT going to show you all the new Lara's outfits only for not spoiling the fun :) She will change clothes almost in every level, and 6 outfits are already done :)
So, any of the updates won't be in-game shots, or I'd have to hide Lara they will cover only 3ds max shots or making of's :)
Again, as happened in previous seasons, Lara will visit very different locations and will have the chance to drive or use new vehicles, which I hope I will be able to do with all those plugins features :)

As you might notice, there's some news this time the game will still be HyperSquare series and "attachable" to other seasons with no problem, but it is going to have a codename which I will reveal only at a very advanced development state, let's say, when levels are almost done :) The codename will fit the main nature of this season, as much as the new logo :)

It will be the most ambitious game I have ever done, and I hope the most appealing, so wish me luck in the years of development to come! :)
