Oh, I just remembered: I love multi-level games that are heavily story-driven, complete with dialogues in cutscenes, supporting characters and everything. Like King Arthur Project or the works of the Clara-Masha-Sponge trio.

I am fond of levels where Lara has an objective to her quest, a reason to want to travel to this location, like when she retrieves the Ark of the Covenant in the Jerusalem Project. Not that I am against just throwing Lara into an imaginary world, but it is satisfying when Lara (and we, as the player), accomplish something at the end.
