BtB 2020 - A Debt in Tibet

Post by RelicHunter » 14 Jun 2020 23:16

Wonderful level so far, glad I chose this one to start with! :)

I'm running around kind of stuck now. I found 4 of 5 Garuda Plates. I think the last one I need is in the trapdoor in the pool of the village but I can't find a way to open it. Any ideas?

EDIT: I got it! Wall button in the room where you find the shotgun... :D

I have 3 of 5 Garuda plates. Now i'm in the Temple region. Seems the guard can do something for Lara - but what?
Has anybody a list where the 5 Plates are? Or a hint in which parts of the game are the plates.

There are 3 plaques in the outside Monastery area with the monks, but one you get access to through the village. 1 other is in the village and 1 is on the way to the crashsite. :)

I also have 4 garuda plaques and cannot find the last one. In area with monks I found 2 garuda plaques. One in mini cave, second in door that I opened with shooting the bell. There is also something on water that seems that I need put here artifact, but I don't have. I suspect that this artifact opens some door and after it there's a 5 garuda plaque... Can someone help?

Yeah, I found that 1 in village and that 1 in the path to crash site. I founded 2 where the monks are and cannot find third garuda plaque in that area :(

This post may seem better in the chat section, BUT it is NOT possible to post a picture there. Thus, this is here!

As shown by the attached picture, it is possible to 100% legally access the outer area of this level. I want to say I am VERY GRATEFUL to this builder for this. Finally, a builder who understands that players want to see how levels are built and have additional places to explore. A 100% big THANKFUL to this anonymous builder, and I am completely serious about this (no sarcasm or irony). [I just started this level and it seems interesting, so no comments about the actual level.] [Also, I will not say how this area was accessed, but leave that as a puzzle to all players, but everyone can find out how legally during normal required gameplay.]

On the other hand, a big negative to the planners of the BTB Tibet levels because of the very bad slug-paced opening animation/load screen in WIN7. There is no excuse for that since the causes of that problem have been known for years and Croft, Prager and the beta testers should have fixed it in their very long preparation time.

Maybe you should have helped testing instead of learning to type

I finished this interesting level, but I discovered a serious design flaw at the end. It is very easy to simply get the seraph and go through the teleport back to the village to place the seraph and end the game. This is done without killing any reptiles in the water, without pulling any wall switches, without killing either hammer boss to get their stones, without climbing any blocks or walls, without pushing a wall button, without changing the position of trapdoors, without using a monkeyswing, or without using zip lines to place stones. I am very surprised that the builder, contest people or beta testers failed to discover this "easy-to-do" bug.

This design flaw mars an otherwise good level on its own merits, but the level is also a clear violator of the contest rules because it is "w-a-a-y - - t-o-o-o-o - - l-o-o-o-n-g"!!

Yeah, I also noticed that. It is a pity that there is such a bug.
