How do I grab and swing along the chain? (This is a legit question, just shows how off the loop I am. )

I haven't started this one yet, but if it is one of those lateral chains, then you need to stand directly under it and hold Action, then press Forward to traverse along (like those ones in the BtB2013 contest). :)

I'm not making a whole lot of progress lol. I tried every possible position in the square platform I'm on. At first I was trying to jump and grab but no luck. Will Lara start any animation if I press Action on the right spot? :hammer: (It's been too long I guess.)

She should just jump and grab it if you press the Action button on its own, but it could help to take a step back first and make sure Lara is standing completely still. I'm just going from memory here as that's the way I remember it working properly.

That chain didn't work for me either. However, you can get across by simply jumping from the block with the keyhole and the statues to the translucent platform, and from there to the pillar and further to the big switch. I assumed that was the intended way (what else would the translucent platform be there for?), and the chain merely a distraction.

(I skipped most of Northern Legends; does it show? )

I think the translucent platform is the way to go indeed. The chain does work from the other end though, so maybe it's just a shortcut to the platform where the block lowers.

... And I'm in need of further assistance. I have a yellow key to spare (no idea where I got it from though, been interrupted at least a dozen times over the last half an hour) and I'm apparently in need of an axe. I've retrieved only one Festive Snek, from a room filled with spike traps, and now I'm running in circles.

then at the first swinging axe are a swingpole
axe you first get when you have all 4 festive snek

I didn't get the bow at first (thought the upper area of that cave was just for the secret) but now I have it. There was a camera hint of a room I've never been to. Still, don't know what good the bow is to me right now.

I can't seem to make my way back to Santa either. I have just stumbled upon a button on a flag that disarmed spike traps protecting a secret and that's as much progress I've done since my last post. I'm feeling quite stupid right now.

Yes, thank you vimmers! I honestly envy your memory. :D

I now have three sneks in my possession, plus the bow+lasersight. Guess I'm now looking for something to shoot with it...

Yup, finished it now. Took me forever to spot the ball in that crevice though. Thanks for all your help. :2thumbsup:

Did you get the 5th secret, the "hot" one? Near the flame emitter (on the far left side of that same square) there is another set of round columns, inside which is one of those invisible buttons.

It says "(5 secrets)" on the level title, which you see when you save/load or from the statistics screen. I think the extra surprise for retrieving all five is
SpoilerShow
Kurtis showing up near Santa.
