As far as I know you don’t need to have to installed the level editor to play custom levels as they should all play from download and unzipping. I have Windows 10 and have had no problems playing custom TR levels.

Suzanne, I do not have WIN 10, but there are several help threads on using Win10 with TR in the Chat section of this website, and on www.tombraiderforums.com.

Several people on this website (e.g. Jorge22 and others) have had your problem, and they got it to work.

If you still have the original CD releases of either TR The Last Revelation or TR Chronicles, you can try playing those games. The installation will tweak the registry to play Tomb Raider. The Level Editor is based on those 2 games. Just make sure you do NOT install DirectX (those games were made in the era of WIN98).

It is possible that whoever installed your WIN10 made it useful for web browsing but not for desktop applications. Microsoft really wants everyone only using the internet, and not the traditional PC desktop features. They have suggested that they would release an alternative WIN10 version to solve that issue when WIN7 and WIN8.1 are discontinued next year, but I doubt it.

Good luck.

Suzanne, here you are with the aqualung. You can now breathe underwater forever in the rest of the game.

However, it took me awhile to figure out how you were stuck. As I said before, it would be best if you waited for the written walkthrough since you can't always tell everything from the video walkthrough. This is absolutely NOT a player-friendly game. Almost no one who played it likes it very much; but if the builder wasn't sadistic in making it so dark, having dead ends, etc., it would have been a really good game.

DoggettTV:
Thanks for the maps. I haven't reached the area of your first map, but I did the second map in a different order. Thus, there is more than one sequence that will work.

Drakan:
Play Level 1 first because the object of the game appears to be in Level 1 and you will have to go back to it once you get certain items in another level.

The builder needs to learn a lot about building for players to want to play this game. This is a complicated but very interesting game. Yet the builder chose to be sadistic to players by making it way too dark with limited flares. It is almost impossible to do the puzzle in the burning floor maze without a compass and the extremely dark environment.
hello i did the burning floor maze :bigcry: , and opening one door but where it is this bloody grey door  impossible to find where going to please help :?
