I had no problems with that place.

Thanks, nad, just what we needed.

Edit: When nad's savegame is loaded, Lara is standing on the upper ledge, having already picked up the eye piece. However, in my game the ledge is still uniformly level, and not sloped as shown in nad's screenshot.

This is a definite bug, so a savegame will of necessity be included in the walkthrough.

I don't think posting a save will make any difference. If you have a level ledge in the game on your computer, then a savegame provided by someone playing with a sloped ledge on his computer (as in nad's case here) won't cure the bug in the game on your computer. The reverse is likely true as well. When I get home this evening I'll post my savegame for testing purposes.

Phil is right! The package has been modified. I dowloaded it days ago and then re-downloaded now.
English.dat Script.dat and accessing.tr4 are different.
This is nad's save in the two different version

I think most players have taken the easy way :D
Now they have to take the hard way

Unless I'm missing something, all that jumping to the ladder accomplishes is to get you to a jumpswitch that raises the platform on the other side of the room. You still can't get to the upper ledge, either to pick up the eye piece or to jump to the raised platform.

Edit: Ah, go back and jump to grab a crack in the wall. (I see that you beat me to it, vimmers.) Okay, it all makes sense now. I take back what I said about a bug. All the revision does is to remove a shortcut and force the player to go around the room as the builder intended. Since only the revised version is now available for download (and none of us would know about the revision were it not for this thread), the written walkthrough will differ from what is shown in the video walk.

I tryed that way too. It's not difficult. From the rised platform you can jump up there quite easily. You only have to crouch to avoid the burner 8)
