The Jelly Fish room with the keyhole is for a secret.
To proceed, you have to find a underwater lever which is not too well hidden ;)

Okay to be exact, you have to find a invisible plattform in that room by Lighting/Throwing a flare (just like in TR3 Lost City of Tinnos).

There is only one in that room, and that allows you to reach both Trap Rooms
There will be another invisible plattform in the level but that one will be more obvious and the last one as well

I keep getting the flare bug, so i wish we had the binoculars as i think i need them.. I am now in a deep room, see blue button over the other side.. below me are many spikes, been in the maze and used a button, came out, used a jump switch by the 2 huge aliens but all doors are closed..

The Blue Switch can be reached by spotting the invisible plattform by dropping a flare, it opens the door in the room where you deactivated the spike trap.
Binoculars would be out of place in a TR3 Style level in my opinion so i removed them.

I have the secret via the key but lost now. I have shot a gem high up above the bridge, no idea what that did. I also have gold bars but no clue where they go. I am now trying to raise a block to the upper area before the bridge, I have done one part of that via monkey swing. No idea where to go now.

The Gem you've shot is for a secret later.
The Gold Bars are just a collectible as bonus (like TR2)
Have you been in the jellyfish underwater cave yet?

Okay, in order to find the second switch to raise the block.
In the Underwater cave go to the left opening and swim through the small tunnel collecting the small medipack. You appear in a room with 4 Blade Traps. Go through all 4 Tunnels and pull the UW Lever to lower the raising block. You just revealed another UW Lever. Pull it to open a door elsewhere. Return to the underwater cave and look for a small triangular opening. Swim up snd get out of the water. You appear in a room with deadly water and flame emitters. Time your jumps until you reach the door you have opened. Use the Switch in the next room to raise the block now (assuming you already completed the pushable puzzle in the waterfall room.) and don't forget to collect the Small Waterskin in that room as well
