Where can I drain the water from the first puzzle room???

you need a skull from the pool in the main hall
to get that you need to use a jumpswitch in 1 of the other rooms

Further on in the huge room with lots of skellies.. Have the shotgun, used a jump switch up the side of a large building, that opened an underwater door that i can't swim thro due to the current.. so???

it is possible to swim against the current
i did it from the back wall and side jumped
with the back against the current

Yes, i tried for ages then the author said it was possible.. just need to try a few times..
I am now in the room where the diary says we need to light the torches.. there's a lower pillar but Lara doesn't grab the upper balcony so any help how to proceed :-)

but you shall jump a little left from the middle

I found out.. but.... I don´t need really the right sequence in the puzzle of the cathedral. The author has to fix it. You can light all the candles and then you jump when the door is opened.

well then you must have done it right
with the first 4 candles cos if she do it wrong she burns

I thought it was just me, but Requiemsoul is right. I did the candles different ways after reloading and Lara didn't burn either time... I just side-flipped to avoid the spikes.

ok there are also a shortcut behind a building are some spikes
don't use that way before the spikes are away

I thinbk i know where you mean.. I had a good go at getting over the rocks into the other area but decided it was probably illegal to do so.. lol

Run jump from the courtyard (first opening "downstream") to the right hand side of the doorway and Lara will just dive inside
