DNF Productions - The Training (Revised) - The Dig Site

im now in an extended room compared to the walktrough
there are a ladder with a trapdoor on top
but can't find a way to lower it
also 2 doors are closed
what did i miss here

ok i got a reply from levelbase
we have to take the big medic under the 3 spinning wheels

im sorry dear the best save i have are a little in in journey to the past

cos i also have to replay a good deal of the dig site again and use other strategy
i also downloaded your UW Expedition save and looked at that
but you only had 1 big medic where i had 7
but wondered how you get past in the flames room
cos i couldn't use the bug with save and reload

ohh and btw you have to go back to start to get the ptstols

I replayed quite a bit just to get to the area where the medpak is sitting in the middle of the spinning blades - how I made it through the fish area I'll never know. anyway, I'm now completely out of medpaks. Not sure what flame room you're talking about unless it's the one prior to using the code thing. if that's the one, I simply side jumped over the first 2 and then luckily made the first with a straightforward jump. The weapon I really needed was the uzi - I missed that - and that's all Donald provides ammo for - duh!

i figured out that it was best to use poison arrows to shoot the fishes
and if you can finish this level you will be loose all your stuff in the next level
starting over again :cry:

This level is really almost new, and should not be missed. Here is a savegame at the start of the second dig site, the one with the tall ladder and medipak beneath the spinning blades. There are uzis and several medipaks. This will allow you to experience the many objectives and action sequences in this area. Of course, as Vimmers stated, the game resets to start mode in the next level.

The uzis were obtained in two secrets in earlier levels, and the evil fishes are history.

I get as far as opening the door and shooting the baddy while ducking, but how to get to the door? As soon as I get up I die.. Any great tips here?

I'd like to thank TombTitan for the save I'm about to download as I'm almost out of health, definitely out of medipacks and one revolver bullet short after I found the money.

Jeez... I thought I was the only one going down this route but apparently not. It's true that after a while there's almost no more new ammo and zilch medipacks.

There's one little trick Dutchy taught me, which is (in case you don't have any more revolver ammo) to point the revolver at the target, keep the look button pressed and press 1 - Lara will use the pistols as if it were the revolver.
Anyway, I couldn't proceed from where I was because of all those cutting edges on the floor...

Something else, from after TombTitan's save: after Lara comes from the swinging blades room, a door opens, spiders come out and then there's a button inside the cabin that opens the door on the other side of the area. That area is mined a-go-go and I can't find the right way to get Lara to the door without going bang. So, what's the trick to it?

At the back wall of the schack (wooden house), near the mine field, is a little pile of dirt. Walk along the wall, stand on the highest part and aim for the corner between the pillar and the dark tile with the mine in front of the door. A run jump through that corner with a slight right curve will get you through. But nothing really important there if I remember correctly, some ammo. You habe to jump back the same way, for which I used the short run jump by Geckokid.
Line up for the jump, stand back a bit and start walking (Shift+forward key), then immediately release SHIFT and press ALT instead while holding down the forward key

It seems the field never gets defused and the right way is to access that room later from the above.

Oh... Ok. Then, I'll get there later from above. I actually know how to go above (the trapdoor went down). Just not as above as above is needed...
