You have to go around the back to reach the top of that slope... There's a corner in which you have to use the rocket propellers to jump around a column (though I think a banana jump would also be possible). :)

There are two possibilities mugs. At first I was always using sidejump+grab, but I find more often than not I'd miss the jump "by that much". You can, however, sidejump and perform a late midair roll and still manage to land on the platform if you have the correct angle.

EDIT
D'oh, just realized what you mean. >_> Sorry.

What I did there was jump+roll mid air so I'd slide backwards on the leftmost slope, so I could make my way to the top using the rocket propellers. Takes a while to get used to the sliding moves, I myself haven't mastered it but in all honesty, don't remember needing it anywhere else this far.

Mugs, I have seen your savegame: you don't have to do a special jump there, just put lara near the wall at hel left and slide down, after a while, curve on the left till she turns 180°, then use the rockets to climb on the sloped decline till a safe position :) (just follow the arrows on the floor) :)

I'll try it again, but what is happening so far is once she's turned and I can deploy the rockets she's slamming into the brick wall.

you knew I'd be back! :D Page 1 of this thread shows a pic that treeble posted where lara has to do a back flip over the fence, fire rockets to catch the ladder. I too have been at this for an hour. there has to be a trick to doing this. can someone please enlighten me. thanks!

I'm not sure now which one worked, but I think I was standing in front of the fance then jumped with an air roll to grab the ladder. A running jump+roll will not work.

(Or it's the other way around. :anxious: lol)

this game's going to drive me to drink!

I'm at the door with the "do not enter" sign. I pushed a block off the side of the building, slid down the pipe and came back to the pool area. If, after sliding down the pipe, I choose to go back down, sliding on the red roof I end up dying because Lara has no health. what gives here?

(also, when I tried uploading the earlier save for you I got an error message saying the maximum size allowed for uploads is 500k)

thanks so much, all you wonderful guys/gals - I replayed the sequence and was able to preserve just enough health to get lara down using the red roof. I've made it to the top of the church and now I'm off to check this thread to see what it is I'm supposed to be doing up here. a few more camera clues would have helped.
