Find 2 Pushable and watch the wall to find the right position.

Yes, I found a golden key there ages ago. I also pushed the blocks and they led me to a secret. It's still a mystery but I'll push the again and see...

No... I hadn't! :bestview:

Anyway, my question now is: what's with Lara looking at the lamps and then going to a room where a gate opens but closes the very minute she steps out of the cement or whatever that square is made of?

EDIT: Hmm, right, it seems I have to use the binoculars when looking at those lights... I wonder what'll be coming out of there? You may still answer, anyway... :D

yeah, there is a map how to jump over the tiles in the pit. its better to load an older savegame to have a look there...

Hi. :)

Guess what? I am stuck.
I have read all the posts here but so far that has not helped me any further.
Maybe I have missed something earlier on.
I have placed the 3 crystals and have reached the next area. Here I have removed two pushables from the wall, one reveals a lever, the other one nothing.
So I thought I'd put it to good use in order to get into the hole in the ceiling - does not work. :(
So my first 2 problems are 1.) what to do with the pushable blocks, 2.) how to get into that hole?
I found the crawlspace with the lights. Apparently I have to look at them with binoculars, but this does not seem to make any difference; I don't see a map. :?
I am still missing the beetle, the wind-up key and the crowbar and now do not know where to go or what to do next.
I have the feeling that I should have found the beetle and its key in the previous area to release it in those tight crawlspaces with the black bits in front.
I used an earlier savegame to look for these objects, but can't find them.
Could someone please give me a (couple of) hint(s).

Thank you in advance. :)

here's some answers to your questions -

Yes, you do need to place those push blocks in a "line-up" that gives you access to the hole in the ceiling. Keep at it. As for the binocular-lights thing. Turn towards the light that Lara "looks" at. Now use your binocs.

Thank you, mugs.
I have tried that ad nauseam, but I can't get it right.
I have two on the ground and two on the upper tier (that refuse to be pushed to the ground). Even if I line them up, I am still one block short on the ground.
I even tried to get another one from that "tower" with the glass-case in the middle - to no avail.

This is how far I get:

And from there I can't make it into the opening in the ceiling, because Lara can't jump properly.
I bet it's something pretty obvious and I am just too thick to see it. :hammer:

have lara do a running jump to catch the opening - you don't have to have a block directly below the hole.

if you're still perplexed - I had two pushables on the ground, adjacent to the hole above, and one pushable stacked on top. I did a running jump/catch from there.

I knew it had to be something obvious! Sometimes I don't see the wood for the trees.
Thank you. :)

I have to say, though, that seeing the map with the binoculars is sheer luck, at least in my case. I managed to see it once out of what must have been 25 to 30 times, in all sorts of distances and positions with Lara turned towards the light
Thankfully I wrote the sequence down, because the next time I tried, it would not show up even though I had not moved Lara at all. She was in exactly the same spot, all I did was putting the binoculars away and then using them again. I persevered for another 10 tries or so and then gave up as I had what I needed.
A bug maybe?

Off to more adventures. :D

There is a moveable block just behind place you put smarag ocular.

Hi Suz! when looking at the door in the pool room- look to your left and up. there is a "glass box" on top of the block (near the wall button). use your revolver to shoot it.
