You're not supposed to climb the rope - you have to attach a bucket to it. If you don't have this bucket already, look for it on the floor of the well. Lara will attach it only when facing a particular direction, so try standing roughly in the middle of the tile and face each direction in turn and press action (once you have the bucket, that is).

Ohhhh right! Thanks alot Mytly. It said on the walkthrough to climb the rope haha.

Or maybe it meant climb the column... who knows. I thought you had to use the bucket when you got out of the well.

I have the bucket already, just need to find the right direction. Thats all I needed to know :]

Hey guys... i'm stuck again on the same level. I am trying to get back to the "Residential District" of the Old City and I am at the part where you put the pyramid keys in their slots and move those vases.

Problem is I did what the walkthrough was saying and moved the vases onto their slots before they were teleported but after I did that nothing at all is happening. I putted them on the red stary slots am I mistaken or is their another glitch at work here?

I see... but I didnt misunderstand the walkthrough vimmers... thats what it said... it said nothing about placing the vases where the pyramid key slots were.

Not to be critical about the walkthrough but I do feel it needs to be revamped as it doesnt really give that much detail about some things.

In any case, thanks for the help... again haha :]

"See the bars? Yeah, those are from that camera hint You got after picking up the revolver. To lower them, break the window on Your left and get the Laser Sight"

The bars didn't lower when I picked up the laser sight - this is to get the Holy Sepulchre Gate key.

Thanks for trying Gerty :)

That is what's supposed to happen - I have read the walkthrough correctly?

There's an alternate walkthrough here in case comparing the two might help.

hmmm it has the same solution, but maybe you can use the saved game that is a bit higher on that page and take it from there.. Jenni :)

Don't forget to make a back up from your own saves though, just in case 8)

EDIT: couldn't stand it so I went back to the save from Dutchy and did the part and here it is, the gate is open :D

Thank you very much Gerty, I will give it a crack

Damn, it was short-lived - I didn't get very far before I hit another bug: I have to get the Church of the Holy Sepulchre Key from the keykeeper again (I already had it in my version) but Lara won't talk to the Keykeeper so he won't open the door to the lounge so she can get it. She rings the bell - he opens the door, says "yes, what?" and that's it - she won't talk so I'm stuck again :(
