nada - Black in, Black out

Post by Spike » 10 Feb 2009 22:43

Does anybody have any idea where to place the Ba Cartouche/Mosaic Piece? It's impossible to see anything in this stupid darkness. :annoyed:

Spike, I found the place where you can use the Cartouche,
Remember where you found that book?
I jumped by accident over the railing there and found the place :D

I am looking for the cartouche now :D

Right, I've found the Cartouche slot (though I think in a slightly different place, since the original route I took was now blocked off) and I've finished the level. :)

And yes, at least I now know I wasn't the only one experiencing crashes and a lack of pistols (and a lack of flares as well :annoyed: ).

I've placed the Bible called Load and am now in an enormous empty room with pillars where I can't see a whole lot. There's a jump switch above some bridge objects that I can't reach and a crack higher up that I can't reach either. There are some climbable blocks on one side of the room, but they are too far off to be useful.

I'm running out of patience fast with the pervasive darkness and those bats that you can't get rid of. What am I supposed to do in this room?

Presumably you have to push the blocks in the corner somewhere else, though I actually have no idea where since it was practically impossible to see anything.

If all else fails, however, she does seem to be able to grab the bridge if you stand here and jump straight up and grab...this was actually the way I did it before I even realised the blocks were pushable. It is a little fiddly though.

Oh, it's pushable blocks, is it.

Well, I think I'll try the shortcut you suggested. :2thumbsup: And thank you for the quick answer.

To sum it up:

No weapons, no flares, too dark. I finished it but it is not worth to download the level. As for the jumpswitch above the bridge objects:

I used the movable blocks to build a way to the bridge objects. One of the movable blocks must stay as the highest block(and the other blocks are used to push it as close as possible to the shimmy crack), from it you can jump over to the shimmy crack.

Got the Ba Cartouche, used it (crash)
Reload used it and saw the doors W opening (start of the game)
Went there (crash)
Reload went there again (crash)
I give up, Is there more to it or is this the end???

The end is when you run into the dark way between the gates on the attached screenshot. Keep running until the trigger starts the Credit animation and then you are done with the level.

It seems that there is a given way that the players needs to run to avoid crashes in this area. The game crashed 9 times on my PC before I had the luck to reach the trigger which is at the end of the dark way.

Already had 15 crashes so far, will give it one more try later and if not... I can't be bothered as I am close to the end :D

Maybe something's wrong with my PC, but I haven't had a single crash. :huh2:

If I had had crashes on top of it, I certainly wouldn't have bothered to reach the end in the first place. Especially since there's nothing waiting for you but an untextured area with one lonely stretched texture on the left.

Or with mine?? Be glad Mulf that you didn't experience them :)

Anyway I see what you mean

For all the other that might experience crashes, just reload, mostly it is ok then.

Your PC is faulty. You'll have to buy a new one. :D
