Re: TR2 - alan - Bartolis Return

Phil, this save is right at the starting point of level 2. Please have a go. (Be ready to jump and grab a ladder in a couple of seconds.) Level files: 1. Sewers - wall.tr2 2. Hydrogen Creatures - unwater.tr2 3. Pyramids of Teotihuacan - skidoo.tr2 4. Threatening Ice Cliffs - monastry.tr2 5. Final Ro...

Re: Pending Walkthrough Projects, thread #4

Anyone? None of the reviewers seem to have had this issue (and I'm not sure many people will see it here). I've yet to boot it up myself (plan on doing it later today, as soon as a new piece of furniture is up, so hopefully in about 6 hours tops), but I'd assume you could just copy all cut* files f...

Re: Pending Walkthrough Projects, thread #4

I haven't played it myself yet but if nobody steps forward until the weekend, I'll do it. :)

Re: Fake Reviews on Mehrbod's level

Ours is a relatively small community and there are several players that don't even submit reviews, but I do agree a password log-in system would be a welcome addition. I guess the only issue at hand is that someone would need to develop and implement such solution.

Re: Unannounced Revised Levels

The link is a "mailto", it should have opened an e-mail client on your computer but, on this day and age, most people use Gmail and the likes directly via the browser instead. What you need to do is to send an e-mail to Michael at michael@mprager.de and ask him to include you in the reviewer databas...

Re: Updated levels

I don't think the builder asks for the update notice on the levelinfo page, I think Michael adds it whenever he updates a file simply so reviews submitted prior to the level update don't seem random. A good example that comes to mind is Florianopolis , for which plenty of reviews were submitted befo...

Re: Overly Complex Levels

I can throw in an example of my own, where people called me out on it lol. Danath's Lost Temple of the Pyrenees : I’m shocked that someone is giving a 9 for texturing and light. A meltdown of rating criteria. But like I said on my initial reply here, I rate a level according to my global experience ...

Re: Overly Complex Levels

Are we honestly that interested in dragging such a debate further on? Besides, I think most people here know Torry -- at least the old timers should anyway. Just read his third post in this discussion. Momster (also another member from the earliest days of trle.net) has been having severe health iss...

Re: Advent 2019 - Team Xmas-Christmas in seville

Anna27, use the blanket on the homeless man (approach him from the dog side) and he'll get you inside the Archivo. I myself am also stuck. I'm running around in circles looking for something to shoot (shot a great many number of wooden box stacks to no avail lol), also have an empty small waterskin,...

I didn't realize the last level wasn't available just yet, but I'll also take this opportunity to thank everyone involved for keeping this beautiful project going year after year. All of you are amazing! Heartfelt thanks and Happy Holidays! :)

Re: Overly Complex Levels

I have not played many recent levels myself (I think the only 2019 levels I've played are the Advent Calendar ones lol), but this is not a new tendency. Even back in our day, overly long and complex levels were always favored for one reason or another. "Long, hard and satisfying" should ring a bell....

It opened a chamber in the small temple-like building in the floor below (for a secret).

Advent 2019 - DavideBre - Christmas Treasure Hunt

Near the end (got tinsel, lights and balls in place, just missing the star which I already have my eyes on), but I missed something crucial apparently. What am I to do with this square/star in the swimming pool? https://abload.de/img/stucka4fkqf.jpg EDIT/ Had missed the slides in the basement, which...

Re: Advent 2019 - tombraiderxii - A Celtic Christmas Memory

You can climb back up through the trapdoor, grab the wall just above the entrance to the room below. You also need to take a lit torch down there, if you haven't yet. :)
