Re: Cowboy - Fading Light 2 - San Pablo Mission

Gosh, that's not something I've ever had to do before, but I can certainly give it a go. The really weird thing is that we tried the level on my husband's computer and it appears to be working perfectly. Both computers were built by the same bloke, with the same drivers, programmes etc. Worse case s...

Re: Cowboy - Fading Light 2 - San Pablo Mission

Sigh. Spoke too soon. All was well for about five minutes, after which every time I tried to reload, it crashed. I can start a new game and then reload my savegames, but I don't think I'd have the patience to go through the opening cut scene every time. If anyone can think of a way to solve this, I'...

Re: Cowboy - Fading Light 2 - San Pablo Mission

OK, problem solved (I hope). It seems to have been a compatibility issue, which is the first time I've had that problem so hardly the first thing I thought of. :dunno: Anyway, I'm off to enjoy what looks like a wonderful game. :D

Re: Cowboy - Fading Light 2 - San Pablo Mission

Nice idea Ryan, but actually I can't get into the game at all after the first time. The exe works initially, but once I come out of the game, it won't open up a second time. Unfortunately, I don't think playing the entire game without leaving it at all is feasible. I keep getting 'crash' repor...

Re: Cowboy - Fading Light 2 - San Pablo Mission

I don't think so Dutchy. I'm pretty sure I sorted that out some time ago as I was having trouble that way. I'll try downloading the whole thing again, but otherwise I'm not sure what to do. Thanks anyway.

Re: Cowboy - Fading Light 2 - San Pablo Mission

I've been looking forward to playing this so much, but, having begun playing twice, I've come back to play and found the exe unresponsive. I've tried firing up the exe in the main folder rather than a desktop shortcut, but it makes no difference. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it?

Re: Back To Basics 2020 - Tibet - Builder Registration

I too am completely and utterly ignorant about the building aspect so I shall simply say how lovely it would be to have some Tibet levels to enjoy, no matter how they're built. Yes, I am just a spoilt rotten player. :D

Re: I Hate Decorating

So agree about the stairs, especially when you're dealing with two flights. Arrgh.

I used to find cutting up an onion and leaving bits around the place neutralised the smell of gloss pretty well. Although initially it's more a question of putting up with two awful smells, I must admit.

Re: I Hate Decorating

Ah, decorating; I feel your pain :D . I was sooooooo glad to let Smartarse take over when he retired. Since I've always belonged to the 'let's just get it done quickly' school of decorating and he's painstaking in his approach, the old place does tend to look better these days and after I'd redone t...

@ Vimmers  As to that, we have a saying in our household, i.e. "I've slept since then". In fact, I sometimes forget where I'm up to in a level after lunch.

Re: Food For Thought

Oooh, Lara at the Movies. I really should play that again, it was so good. Perhaps some of our builders might consider round two (sorry about the shameless begging there). Nice idea Phil. My problem is I'm always trying to keep up my reviewing levels, thus having to go back to pre 2003. As you say, ...

Re: I need to say good bye

Ah, Suz, my dear trout. :comfort: I know some of those timed runs can be hard and getting older doesn't always help. I'm just so lucky to have Smartarse to do tricky bits for me from time to time. But, hey, you've got Vimmers, aka King of the Stuck Threads, on your side. :D Big Fish games are great,...
