Bravo Alarm (TR5) - by Peppigno Rafiele

As if this level hadn't been a pain on one occasion or two so far, I seem to have reached a point where I can't progress and can't see anything in the walkthrough or reviewer comments that would help me further. The walkthrough describes the part I'm in as follows: Pull up and go up the gate. Now ex...

Re: Crowbar door?

Actually yes - there are doors that are specifically meant to be opened with the crowbar.I imagine you can still use most other doors you like provided the OCB is correct - but the animations will look awkward if it's not the right type of door. In the original wads the following are crowbar-openabl...

Re: Walkthrough Small Talk, thread #2

Thanks, Michael - that was fast! :2thumbsup: I get where you're coming from, manarch2 :D I just felt that in this particular case the criticism was a bit unfair towards the level, since the jump-sequence wasn't even intended (not that hiding a movable block in a big area was a stroke of genius from ...

Re: Walkthrough Small Talk, thread #2

I see a number of reviewers (and I imagine even more players) even very recently are needlessly getting confused by Beck's TR3 level "Serpent City" - specifically in regard to the redundant hard jump sequence. May I suggest - if not an alteration to the original walkthrough here - then adding my fol...

Re: Offering my original music for use in an advent level

I haven't yet listened to the track in it's entirety and it's unlikely I'll ever build an advent level myself, but I just thought I'd say that this is a very cool thing you're doing :2thumbsup: It's great to see musical talents in the community contributing with unique custom content! I'm sure build...

Re: Back to Basics 2012: theme voting

When the poll was still kinda working - I voted for Northern Legends - so I'll stick to that, even if I was not a huge fan of the TR4 treatment of the Cambodia levels and would very much love to see what a reinvention of it would look like :) So while my vote is set - I will not be upset if Khmer Em...

A (very (very)) belated happy birthday from me too :2thumbsup: I'm really bad with keeping track with those of others since I stopped caring that much about celebrating mine, but that's no excuse  :jump:

Re: Back to Basics 8: open discussion

I have to say I'm very much warming up to the idea of permanently moving the time frame to a 24th August (or 1st September if we want to approximate this) release. Not only does it make more sense in context of coinciding with the birthday of TRLE.net, but going back to a 1st January release, thus w...

Re: tomb4 exe not working?!

I don't mean this in a reprimanding way - if you're still learning, it's understandable that a lot of this could be... well, new to you. Sometimes I forget that, so I'm sorry if it came across the wrong way :) You delete the levels simply by highlighting the irrelevant level blocks and deleting them...

Re: tomb4 exe not working?!

This may be far-fetched, but worth a shot: 1) Is your current level the only (playable) one in the script or are there still others? 2) When you rename your Horseman's Gem - do you also rename the "horseman's gem" line from the english.txt to adjust to the new name? If the answer is yes to both - th...

Re: tomb4 exe not working?!

From what you are describing it probably has to be something you might have overlooked regarding renaming. If scripting is indeed the only change that has been made (i.e. no patching), and you have not inadvertently deleted either the title level or uklogo.pak from your data folder (the absence of b...

Re: tomb4 exe not working?!

It's no problem to start topics as new issues arise - but you have to give us more details - at best all the actions you did in sequence prior to your problem :) If you are as precise as possible about the technical , factual details of what has been done, it will eliminate a lot of guesswork on our...

Re: Back to Basics 8: open discussion

I like the idea of traditional Russia (maybe more mythology than history based though - there are lots of cool and creepy fairy tales about witches and the like) and might even be able to provide some quality material for it, though maybe not necessarily for a 2012/2013 competition because I feel it...
