How to make a TREP flipeffect for changing a hardcoded sound?

I have used a smash-object in my level. When Lara jumps against it, it shatters with an explosion sound. That sound is hardcoded to the object, as it has no animation. But in my level the object is a natural object, which does not explode and should use a wooden sound. I can't just change the sound ...

Program showing animation for 128x128 pixel textures?

I want to have a look at the animation for large water animation textures in 128x128 pixel before I add them to my texture set. Is there a program able to show me the animation for textures in that size?

Re: Messy Christmas - who is the dragon?

Wonderfull! Thank you Sylwia and Soul. So my assumption about a cartoon character wasn't completely off. I still don't understand, what the dragon says, about what happened to his nice moustache: "I ??? them ??? horrid!" Is a native English speaker willing to put that sentence from Sylwia's link int...

Messy Christmas - who is the dragon?

I've just re-played Codo's Messy Christmas. And the dragon/mutant is intriguing me. It looks to be inspired by some cartoon or comic character, but who? Do you recognize the character? I can't seem to find anything about it in the credits, and sadly Codo never answered the PM I sent her, when I play...

Re: The Madness of March

Hahaha, folks, it's 4 AM but I have to announce: I've just FOUND the files of Tedium. I was completely sure they're all gone, I both can't believe and find it not surprising at all they were so close all the time and I have no idea how I overlooked them :D :D PREPARE! The worst* day in TRLE communi...

Limits for triggers and/or cameras

The level I'm building contains a river with a strong stream. As a result I've used a lot of sinks with corresponding triggers. During the work with the sinks, I noticed, that in NGLE (the old version for TRLE) the maximum number of triggers should be 512, but when I went somewhere over 250 triggers...

Re: to admininstration

I just discovered, that the new skin doesn't give me the option to cancel making a post. I can save the draft, preview and submit. But when I have pressed the wrong button and don't want to post at all, I see no option to just drop the post and back away.

Re: Tomb Raider Level Editor Experience

I noticed, that Lara frequently has to change the environment to solve a task and then sometimes has to change it back to solve the next task. An example is the engine room in 40 Fathoms. In order to reach the alcove at the other end of the room, Lara first has to turn the turbines, so she can jump ...

Re: Advent - Luke - Mystica

I eventually figured it out. It was a matter of cutting as many corners as possible and just try a hundred times. The hard part was to run just enough to make the necessary turns and sprint as much as possible. I swear Luke deliberately made the routes of his timed runs in that level extra difficult...

Re: Advent - Luke - Mystica

Can I have some tips on how to handle the timed run in the town? Where Lara is supposed to reach a trapdoor before it closes. No matter what I try, I'm always exactly too late. Is it better to sprint the whole way? Or jump in some parts. Other tricks to navigate the collision from all the objects, t...

Re: KEY TO LIFE EGYPT PUZZLE

It's not a puzzle item, but a quest item. You can find it in the wad for tomb of Seth, that comes with the editor. It's named quest_item1. But if you want to use it as a puzzle item, you'll have to tamper around. Animating12_mip from the wad from the Citadel contains a frame for the ankh. But it was...

Re: Fluen's questions about correct English

Now I'm wondering about the ing-form of lie and lay.

If I lie on my bed right now, I'm ???-ing.

If my current action is to lay something on the table, I'm ???-ing something.

Is the word/spelling in both cases "lying"? Or am I wrong?

Re: Back to Basics 2016 - Open for registration

I know it's too late for this competition, but a Danish humourist Storm P. once suggested, that one should flip a coin about it. When the coin was in the air, one would suddenly know, what outcome one hoped for. Decision made. :)
