Re: Problem with each mod via Windows 10 64 bit.

If you have a high dpi screen it is likely that the default scaling is larger than 100%. If so, you can try to set the display scaling to 100% (right click on the desktop background and select Display settings). This seems to work for me, if I run tomb4 in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3. I do...

Re: Savegame Structure

@GeorgeTR: I hope that you get the information you need from Paolone. Regarding Harry's post, I would like to add that the information about Lara's position and most other information about her state is not found in a fixed position in the savegame file, although I think that the lowest possible sta...

Re: Full Screen

With the old executable you can enter full screen mode by pressing the keys Alt and Enter together. It seems that this does not to work for TRNG levels, though. Then you can use a setup file. You usually need to create the setup file yourself, even if such a file is included, because an included fil...

Re: Pending Stand-Alone Levels

Thanks DJFull, I remember it know. I also remember that TRNG level can trigger audios by flipeffects, and then I don't know if TR_Exe is of any help.

Re: Pending Stand-Alone Levels

Note that the program TR_Exe by Alain Lecompte also lists CD triggers and it is more robust than fexinspect. I just googled for it, and it turned up on Driber's site. Of course, it will not handle encrypted NG levels. By the way, I am curious about what you want to do with AgentXP's ORC Bolivia, as ...

Re: standard vertical polerope

@Fluen. I haven't had any problems to open Fraps videos with Virtualdub. You would probably want to install ffdshow tryouts too, to get some more codecs. You could also try the free version of Microsoft Expression Encoder 4, but I do not have much experience with that myself, and the free version ju...

Re: suggestions for playing older levels with level editor

In the past, I always used Paolone's LevelManager (under Windows XP), mainly because of the built-in savegame manager. In almost all cases, it worked fine. However, some very old levels only worked with the original WADs (not the revised ones), and some levels required manually copying a WAD and ren...

Re: The TRForge Advent Calendar 2011 !

Using the distance meter, a block is 1024/419 m (or about 2.44 m) along coordinate axes. According to the manual, a block is 92 in (or about 2.33 m). The former value makes Lara quite tall, 182 cm (with boots, though). The latter value makes her 5 ft 9 in tall, as said in a previous post, or about 1...

Do you have a sun bulb in the room?
Sun bulbs can make moveables glow like lanterns in dark rooms.

Re: CSPackage

However, "winrar" is not a free program. The command line utility "unrar" from the same site (check "extras") is free, though, and that is what I use. There are also free archivers, which can handle RAR, e.g. 7-zip.

Re: Simple music/recording program?

I guess that the simplest solution is to get a plugin chainer/host and a suitable reverberation plugin. You could check the KVR site for stuff that fits your needs, but there are other sites. I cannot really recommend anything, but you could try LiveProfessor and Reverberate LE for a start. You migh...

Well, click the button "Show light meshes" somewhere to the lower right in the button array below the main editor window. When lighting mode is on (keyboard key "L"), you can adjust the meshes with the lighting buttons, i.e. X & Y for direction, Len & Cut for reach, Out and In for width, and Int and...

What about project compatibility between NGLE and the original LE? Unless you stretch the limits or make a "v50" project, they should be compatible, I think. There is no reason for the exe to be the same for all levels, but I think that patching would be more suitable for a "forward to the future" c...

Just a basic check. Did the light meshes extend far enough?
