Re: NG Freezing at WAD Output

Thank you for the reply! I appreciate your insights. :) I am no expert builder by any means, but I think the converter is telling you what the problems is with this report: "Cant Seem To Load C:\Program Files\Core Design\trle\graphics\wads\village.tom" I think this tells me that NGLE isn't outputtin...

Re: NG Freezing at WAD Output

I redid all my installation files and it was of no use. What is worse, I noticed that some of the older files that were outputting before are no longer outputting. :bomb: I opened a file. It output. I rotated a couple objects and placed a new texture. Then I saved and output the project. It worked f...

Re: NG Freezing at WAD Output

Thank you for a quick response! I think TREP is an editor, but I really don't know more about it than that. I don't use it, though. I use: WADMerger 1.98 Beta 3 StrPix 3.9.5 Rev 10 NGLE 1.2.2.6 TBuilder 2.4 I have installed TRNG MK4. The only other thing that comes to mind is that I often get an err...

NG Freezing at WAD Output

I had this problem a while ago; I fixed it by reverting to an older project. But now the problem is a little different. I cannot get the WAD to output; the NG freezes every time. So, I went back to an older project and output it. It worked. Then I built a little; output the WAD, it worked. Built a l...

How about the sprites? The smoke and flames look pretty bad :(

Animating Object Flickering

Hi all, I am trying to create an animating object that starts in one place, moves to another, and then stays there. It is in the ANIMATING7 slot. I use WADMerger to create the animation. I set the speed and set the NextFrame to be the last frame in the animation (600, in this case). I trigger it in ...

Texture Boundaries

Hi all! I'm currently building some custom textures and keep running into the most annoying problem. No matter what I do to make them tile, they always show up with clear boundaries between the squares when I look at them in the game. I'm making some gravel textures, so I need them to tile no matter...

Re: tightrope + polerope = trouble

I apparently don't know how to search on TRsearch. I went into the animation menu and looked through all downloads, but none mentioned the tightrope. And at Lara's Levelbase I can't even find an animations-menu. Will someone please explain me how to do a proper search on TRsearch and where to find ...

Re: Rotate Project?

Or... in theory you could get away with tweaking the compass needle in that particular wad instead of rotating whole sections of the level or rooms. I haven't tried this in practice - but I assume rotating the needle by 90, 180 or 270 degrees should be able shift the cardinal points in the directio...

Re: Rotate Project?

It sounds like there is an issue with the compass directions and that's why the rooms need to be reoriented. Yes; I am rather particular. :smug2: I want to make sure that folk are facing the same 'direction' in both levels when they look one way. Since only parts of the two linked levels are shared...

Shucks; that's what I feared. Oh well, though; I think I can actually get by having to only rotate a handful of the rooms in the level instead of all of them.

Thanks all!

Update:

I switched the program to run in Compatibility Mode as Windows XP (SP2) w/ Administrator privileges and now it works swimmingly!

Thanks to all for your help :)

Rotate Project?

Hi all! My level is taking a turn for the different--literally! I'm now needing to rotate my whole project file in the 2D space, and I am wondering if this is even possible with any of the programs out there. I use NGLE, but I didn't see a project rotate option anywhere. Alternatively, a script comm...

Re: Strpix Texturing Wrong Faces

Installed GLDirect and all is working perfectly! I'm amazed that it turned out to be a graphics card issue, since according to the author, the S3 chip was the one the program was originally tested on! Leave it to the updaters to make my new drivers less compatible than the old ones  Thanks al...
